**Job Summary**
Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas for patients/residents, visitors and associates by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines. Tasks that the individual will be responsible for include but not limited to; emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
Valid Driver's license is required. Demonstrate knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools and techniques in a healthcare environment; ability to apply this to provide a clean and sterile environment for patients/residents and facility staff. May be responsible for the following locations to clean but not limited to; patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
Wear the proper protective equipment following the appropriate guidelines. Keep storage, equipment and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Environmental Services Technicians will have access to pagers and other technology that they will be responsible to use appropriately when needed. Assist in the laundry areas as appropriate. Depending upon location and availability of programs, may have access to use of technology applications.
Physical activities include but not limited to, considerable use of arms and legs and moving of whole body; such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, twisting, squatting, and handling materials. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40-50lbs and push/pull up variable weight limits on flat surfaces or up and down ramps. This position will require the individual to be on their feet for the majority of their shift. May be exposed to certain levels of noise with the equipment in operation.
Depending on location of position, work hours will vary depending on patient/resident needs. This may include overtime, call, backup call, nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
**Qualifications**
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful. Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

We are seeking a Field Service Manager - Waste Disposal to manage customer accounts and projects involving chemical packaging and waste pickups. You will have strong knowledge of DOT and RCRA hazardous waste regulations, excellent project management skills, and a passion for delivering top-tier customer service.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit competitive cost estimates to clients in a timely manner
- Maintain a high degree of customer service and perform as the main contact T&D customers
- Establish and maintain relationships with waste end facilities and key personnel.
- Maintain expertise in DOT and RCRA hazardous waste rules and stay current with regulatory changes.
- Ensure staff properly characterize, package, label, and prepare waste for shipment per DOT and RCRA regulations.
- Ability to work with analytical laboratories to coordinate bottle orders for waste characterization projects
- Attend conferences and training with DOT, RCRA and waste related topics.
- Prepare project documentation including Project Management Plans (PMPs) and Site Safety and Health Plans (SSHPs).
- Maintain a current valid driver' s license and acceptable driving record required; CDL with hazmat endorsement required.
- Perform individual waste drum pickups and manage small lab-pack projects.
- Supervise 1-3 staff on large waste drum pick-ups and large lab-pack projects
- Manage the 10-day hazardous waste storage trailer including tracking of waste shipments using Excel.
- Ability to direct staff and ensure they are characterizing and packaging waste chemicals per RCRA and DOT requirements.
- Ability to direct staff and ensure they are labeling and preparing waste containers (drums, totes, etc.) for shipment.
- Submit waste paperwork (profiles, manifests, etc.) in a timely fashion to waste end facility designated contacts.
- Submit all waste documentation (profiles, manifests, labels, LDRs) accurately and on time using Bay West's web-based Waste Management system.
- Participate in Bay West's Emergency Response Program as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a science related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related field experience including waste transportation and packaging.
- Valid US driver's license with acceptable driving record required; Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement
- Strong understanding of DOT and RCRA regulations.
- Reliable means of transportation on a 24-hour basis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience supporting multiple projects on deadline while providing excellent customer service

Cleans patient rooms daily. Sanitizes all vertical and horizontal surfaces, spot wash walls and windows, removes trash and linen (where required), completely cleans and sanitizes restroom, dust mop and damp mop.

Cleans ancillary areas such as, nurses’ stations, med rooms, pantries, clean and soiled utility rooms, storage rooms, waiting rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, offices and other areas not specified.

Environmental Attendants will be assigned to clean specialty areas not limited to but including OR Suites, Pre Op and Post Op areas, Emergency Department, Intensive and Critical Care Units, Labor Delivery Units, Pediatric Units, Mental Health Units, Oncology, Radiology, Labs, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Geriatrics, Kitchen areas and more.

The Environmental Services Coordinator responsibilities include ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, implementing sustainable practices, and managing various aspects of Consolidated Communications' environmental impact. This includes monitoring various equipment performance, conduct inspections, and assist in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate negative environmental impacts. Specific duties will include data collection, waste management, regulatory compliance, and remaining current with applicable State & Federal requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing the organization's environmental services program. The Environmental Services Coordinator works to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implements practices. This role also involves coordinating with external agencies and organizations, as well as managing data and reporting.
Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to environmental laws and regulations.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of required reports and permits.
- Waste Management:
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste, including both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Develop and implement waste reduction and recycling programs.
- Manage waste disposal contracts and vendors.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to environmental performance.
- Prepare reports and presentations on environmental issues.
- Project Management:
- Manage environmental projects, from planning and implementation to reporting and evaluation.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of specific environmental programs.
- Collaboration:
- Report directly to the Environmental Services Department Manager, work collaboratively with other departments and teams to implement environmental programs and best management practices.
- Coordinate with external agencies and organizations.
- Other Duties:
- May assist with the preparation of budgets and financial reports related to environmental services.
- Will conduct routine inspections to identify potential environmental risks.
- May be responsible to maintain / dictate your own schedule and self prioritize inspections and Vendor meetings.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or +5 years experience in a related field is preferred.
- Experience: +5 years experience in environmental compliance, waste management, or a related field is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams etc.) and related software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and interpret results.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve environmental issues.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Other: Knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainable practices, and waste management techniques.
Physical Demands:
