**Description:**
**POSITION PURPOSE**
Serve as the Water Management Specialist for Trinity Health Hospitals including Ann Arbor, Chelsea, and Livingston plus associated ambulatory/outbuilding sites for the West Region, Southeast Michigan. Lead and maintain comprehensive water management program for safety and regulatory compliance. Ensure safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors from waterborne pathogens in domestic water systems, cooling towers, water features and any other potential sources and related compliance activities.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Manage, oversee, and implement the individual Water Safety Management Plans (WSMPs) for each site and all related duties and functions associated with the plans. Includes all updates to WSMP due to changes in regulatory oversite, policies, physical changes to water systems, improved or recommended plan updates, changes in treatment methodology, water system maintenance, etc.
+ Assure facilities are compliant with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, i.e. CMS, State of Michigan (EGLE, MDHHS), County, The Joint Commission (TJC), OSHA/MIOSHA, etc.
+ Maintain compliance with all published water safety standards and guidance, e.g. ASHRAE/ANSI 188-2021, ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 12000-2021, ASHRAE Guideline 12-2020, NSF 444, CDC Toolkit, TJC's water management Environment of Care standard EC.02.05.02, Elements of Performance (Eps) 1-4 and any updates to existing or new standards that may be issued.
+ Maintain timely communications and delivery of requested documentation with EGLE and other regulatory entities having oversite.
+ Organize, facilitate, and document regular Water Management Team meetings including annual review.
+ Conduct on-site building water system audits to ensure regulatory, policy, and plan compliance including coordination of staff for assistance and guidance.
+ Requires strong working knowledge of building water systems, water treatment equipment, and overarching regulatory guidelines.
+ Requires travel to different sites in region for meetings with staff and vendors, servicing of equipment, collecting and testing of water samples, maintaining & updating records, and related work to ensure compliance with WSMPs.
+ Responsible for proper operation of all water treatment systems and maintaining/updating operational logs as necessary.
+ Create and maintain necessary documentation of sampling and testing results, corrective actions, required follow-up sampling/testing documentation, meeting minutes, communications to key individuals including regulators for compliance requirements, and other required reporting.
+ Lead all regulatory case studies or investigations as representative expert for Trinity water systems, maintenance activities, records, treatment equipment, and implementation of remediation plans.
**OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Maintain involvement with professional/industry associations.
+ Understand all field-testing equipment, supplies, & treatment methods and apply best practices for conducting field testing for biological inhibitors within water sources.
+ Must be able to understand and articulate technical and scientific details to members of cross functional teams.
+ Provide support for other Trinity Health facilities. Work with System Office as requested on Water Safety Management support issues.
+ Must be able to conduct investigations on matters such as water monitoring, water testing, tracking pollutants, and acquiring permits associated with compliance and regulatory requirements in healthcare settings.
+ Experience and/or knowledge of best practices associated with infection prevention and epidemiology for water safety issues.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE**
+ High School diploma or GED required with 5 years of experience in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, Infection Control, Epidemiology, providing comprehensive water treatment solutions for power plants, or related field.
+ Bachelor's degree preferred in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, Infection Control, Epidemiology, or related field.
+ ASSE 12080 Legionella Water Safety and Management Certification must be obtained within 12-months of hire.
+ State of Michigan Drinking Water Operator Certification (Level D-5+) must be obtained within 12-months of hire.
**REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
+ Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
+ Requires strong verbal/written communication, presentation, and training skills.
+ Advanced knowledge of water systems, chemistry, treatment, and testing related to water safety.
+ Knowledge and comprehension of the Safe Drinking Water Act, other drinking water regulations, and applicable accreditation requirements.

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) enriches the environment and protects public health for all New Yorkers by providing 1.1 billion gallons of high-quality drinking water, managing wastewater and stormwater, and reducing air, noise, and hazardous materials pollution. DEP is the largest combined municipal water and wastewater utility in the country, with nearly 6,000 employees. DEP's water supply system is comprised of 19 reservoirs and 3 controlled lakes throughout the systems 2,000 square mile watershed that extends 125 miles north and west of the City.
The Integrated Water Management office under the Bureau of Environmental Planning and Analysis (BEPA) is currently seeking a Program Analyst for Integrated Water Management to support several high-priority initiatives including the Water Demand Management Plan and annual water conservation reporting (Water Supply Permit WSA#11,352), Sustainable Rate Structure Analysis (OneNYC Initiative 28), and Integrated Water Management Planning and Assessment (OneNYC Initiative 28). These programs are part of DEPs One Water approach which applies a holistic water management framework to improve water quality, climate resiliency, and demand management while taking into account water rate affordability and equity.
The Assistant Director will identify integrated water management opportunities, conduct opportunities analyses, and map these opportunities using ArcGIS and/or ArcMap Online, to support stormwater/wastewater/drinking water nexus projects. They will gather, organize, and analyze data and research, including land use, demographics, and climate and water demand projections, and develop metrics and indicators including socio-economic costs and benefits, research and identify best practices, monitor performance, make programmatic recommendations, and other expressed needs of the agency, in support of MS4, LTCP, DEPs Strategic Plan, and the Mayors sustainability goals, plus compliance with State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Permit regulations.
Overall, the Program Analyst will assist on a variety of technical, administrative, and quantitative duties, and will assist with coordination with operational Bureaus and interagency teams. They will also assist in reviewing reports and deliverables prepared by consultants and contractors; assist in preparing, coordinating, and drafting annual reports and other publications; and support other large projects under the direction of BEPA senior managers. They will collect, analyze, and integrate relevant data and research from various sources to support agency planning efforts, and will assist with coordination with operational Bureaus and interagency teams. Specifically, they will assist in developing benefit-cost analyses to determine the role of the Bureaus sustainability programs in reducing capital and operational expenses, as well as minimizing costs to rate payers. They may also represent the agency in forums such as the Water Utility Climate Alliance, US Water Alliance, and Water Agency Leaders Alliance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of water resources planning, with competency in geospatial and data analysis. However, experience in other fields such as climate resilience, city planning, as well as prior government experience, will also be considered. The successful candidate will function in a support role to senior managers on a number of technical, administrative, costing, and long-range planning tasks. This position will be part of a highly dynamic team working on a range of complex tasks simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications1. For Assignment Level I (only physical, biological and environmental sciences and public health) A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health.
To be appointed to Assignment Level II and above, candidates must have:
1. A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization; or
2. A master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least a master's degree in an appropriate field of specialization and at least two years of experience described in "2" above. Two years as a City Research Scientist Level I can be substituted for the experience required in "1" and "2" above.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This will be a position that is typically 8-5pm M-F. On rare occasion will the candidate need to work evenings or weekends, or stay overnight for field work. Approximately 60% of time will be spent in office or lab environment. The other 40% in the field, greenhouse or outside. Field conditions can be hot and dusty. Ability to lift 50 lbs is required.

Jacobs is searching for a dynamic Maintenance & Asset Management Manager to join our team in El Segundo, CA. In this role, you'll direct and supervise the activities of the Maintenance Department of the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility (ECLWRF), three (3) satellite plants and Hyperion Pump Station and be responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep of plant assets that make up the various facility processes including Title 22 (conventional Tertiary for re-use), Barrier (groundwater injection), Nitrification (cooling water), High Pressure and Low-Pressure Boiler Feed Water Treatment plant processes? You'll work closely with the client and Project Management to develop and implement strategic asset maintenance plans to reduce life cycle costs and improve the reliability of critical production assets?You'll work in unison with other departments to ensure that the facilities and equipment are maintained efficiently through planning and coordination, to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production. You'll have 4 direct reports: a Warehouse Technician, an Asset Management Engineer and two Supervisors (Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and Instrumentations & Controls Supervisor) and 14 indirect reports: one Asset Management Technician, nine O&M Technicians and four I&C technicians. You'll ensure that all maintenance staff strictly follow all safety policies, procedures and practices with appropriate PPE being worn at all times. You'll promote growth and development of your staff and ensure that all training needs are met.
Principal Areas of Responsibility
* Knowledge of wastewater treatment and/or water treatment, engineering principles, general administrative principles and practices, and methods of supervision?
* Develop strategies and plans as well as installation and maintenance procedures for the facility and other satellite facilities with the goal of continuously improving asset performance and reliability as equipment allows. Evaluate, discuss and plan preventative and corrective maintenance tasks?
* Ensure equipment is maintained in proper operational conditions in accordance with operations and maintenance manuals (manufacturers' recommendations)
* Understand and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Investigations?
* Organize and lead asset management working groups
* Keep up to date with Asset Management practices, principles and developments in the water/wastewater industry?
* Direct, manage and oversee staff activities in the installation, preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance repairs of equipment while ensuring the prompt repair and replacement of mechanical and electrical equipment?
* Contribution for preparation of annual budgets and long-range budgets, as well as annual inventory of fixed assets and spare parts?
* Ensure constant monitoring of expenses and use of resources, and implement budgetary and cost controls in line with Project Management
* Organize and leads asset management working groups
* Responsible for procurement activities and interaction with suppliers and contractors for the maintenance department?
* Ensure that the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is timely administered and kept up to date (equipment nomenclature, preventative maintenance frequencies, appropriate reports, backups and updated preventative and corrective maintenance work orders, and reports)?
* Oversee the CMMS and ensure the data entered is reliable and accurate, and that the CMMS is utilized properly
* Supervise work order entry into CMMS to ensure proper triggering of maintenance activities?
* Handle general administration duties (approval of reports, requisitions, and employee timesheets)?
* Establish policies for inspection, maintenance and repair of vehicles (schedules repairs and follow-up on repairs being made)
* Manage emergency call outs and assist the Company and the Client on special projects?
* Provide direction to support maintenance staff within the department and responsible for performance management, including progressive discipline and staff development of the maintenance department?
* Develop adequate training programs to ensure continuous skill improvement of staff?
* Perform other duties as needed and/or required to operate and maintain the facility?
* Manage and coordinate special projects as directed
* Review training needs assessments (TNA's) and safe work plans
* Provide support and guidance in capital projects, Research & Development projects, and plant improvement projects?

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors, which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour time period must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, wear and use appropriate safety equipment.

In this role, you'll direct and supervise the activities of the Maintenance Department of the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility (ECLWRF), three (3) satellite plants and Hyperion Pump Station and be responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep of plant assets that make up the various facility processes including Title 22 (conventional Tertiary for re-use), Barrier (groundwater injection), Nitrification (cooling water), High Pressure and Low-Pressure Boiler Feed Water Treatment plant processes? You'll work closely with the client and Project Management to develop and implement strategic asset maintenance plans to reduce life cycle costs and improve the reliability of critical production assets?You'll work in unison with other departments to ensure that the facilities and equipment are maintained efficiently through planning and coordination, to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production. You'll have 4 direct reports: a Warehouse Technician, an Asset Management Engineer and two Supervisors (Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and Instrumentations & Controls Supervisor) and 14 indirect reports: one Asset Management Technician, nine O&M Technicians and four I&C technicians. Principal Areas of Responsibility
* Knowledge of wastewater treatment and/or water treatment, engineering principles, general administrative principles and practices, and methods of supervision?

**Job Title:** Water Treatment Operator
**Location:** Pensacola, FL
**Pay Range:** $23.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on experience

+ Operate and monitor water treatment systems, including raw water wells, reservoirs, pumps, filters, and chemical feed systems.
+ Perform daily water sampling and chemical testing; adjust chemical dosages as needed.
+ Record and interpret system data such as pressures, flows, and chemical levels.
+ Conduct minor mechanical and electrical repairs on plant equipment.
+ Respond to emergency calls and investigate irregular plant conditions.
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ **Must possess a valid Class "C" or higher Drinking Water Operator License-** **Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP)**
+ Valid Florida Driver's License required.
+ Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
+ Knowledge of water treatment methods and processes.
+ Familiarity with tools and materials used in:
+ Controlling and servicing water treatment systems.
+ Monitoring system performance and quality.
+ Performing minor repairs on water treatment machinery and equipment.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform tasks involving walking, bending, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.

**Job Description**
**Position Purpose:**
Provide comprehensive management of the facilities water supply, treatment, usage, and disposal. Maintain accurate and detailed records throughout the process for each regulatory agency governing each stage of the process. Ensure that all equipment and instrumentation used in the treatment, usage, and disposal process meet regulatory and site specifications.
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Provide comprehensive management of the facilities water supply, treatment, usage, and disposal
+ Maintain accurate and detailed records throughout the process for each regulatory agency governing each stage of the process
+ Ensure that all equipment and instrumentation used in the treatment, usage, and disposal process meet regulatory and site specifications
+ Ability to work independently, efficiently and make necessary decisions in regards to treatment requirements and quality standards
+ Maintain detailed electronic log, documented rounds, electronic spreadsheets, and produce daily reports each shift
+ Make routine rounds throughout shift in all treatment areas
+ Performs daily RCRA and Safety Inspections as required
+ Monitor all indicators, trends, and alarms on the Programmable Logic Controller(PLC) and local system setups throughout shift and make adjustments accordingly. Respond to notifications in a timely and efficient manner
+ Report any exceedances or permit violations to supervision, management, and EH&S immediately and document the occurrence on the designated forms and logs
+ Order daily consumable products from vendors for items such as: Acid, chlorine, chemical additives, potable water loads, and lab testing equipment and chemicals
+ Maintain and enforce compliance on a high level of housekeeping and environmental standards throughout all treatment areas
+ Respond to upset and abnormal conditions in a safe and timely manner while following all established protocols and Standard Division Practices(SDP)
+ Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, test, and monitor all equipment within the water treatment areas
+ Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, test, and monitor the facility's supply of fire suppression water and its system components
+ Report any spills or emergency situations to supervision and site Emergency Coordinators immediately and assist with remediation efforts and situational response
+ Report malfunctions and inoperable equipment to the maintenance department for repairs using the site Work Request System
+ Perform basic maintenance to area equipment such as filter swapping, tote changing, gasket & gauge replacements, tubing replacement, and parts greasing
+ Safely shut down and start up the treatment units and areas during scheduled outages as well as upset conditions
+ Perform Lock Out Tag Out(LOTO) on all systems and streams within the treatment areas
+ Work with contractors and maintenance department on preventative maintenance and repairs
+ Issue work permits for all treatment areas.These permits may include:
+ Safe Work, HotWork, Line Break, and Confined Space Entry Permits
+ Participate in continuous ongoing retraining, refresher, and state certification programs
+ Train, or assist in the training, development, and sign-off of treatment area operators
+ Provide operational expertise on unit and assist with audits and providing information for external entities and regulatory agencies
+ Provide technical guidance and work with site Engineers to design, test, and implement unit upgrades and improvements
+ Offload and unload tanker trucks as needed for storage or injection
+ Performs basic lab procedures and is proficient in the usage of basic lab equipment for testing and verification purposes. Some of the equipment and tests include:
+ pH, turbidity, conductivity, specific gravity, ISBSP, & hardness
+ titraters, mixers, probes, meters, and analyzers
+ Performs daily calibration of equipment.
+ Assist with maintaining access to the Port Arthur facility and its subsidiary properties North and South of the facility.
+ Maintain and operate a number of unique pieces of equipment and systems such as:
+ Ultrafiltration(UF) System, Reverse Osmosis(RO) System, Boilers, Marley Cooling Tower, Clarifiers, Sand Filters, Metering Pumps, Blowers, Tractor & Diesel Pumps
+ Cartridge Filters, Transfer Pumps, Air Compressors, High Pressure Injection Pumps, Sump Pumps, & Annulus Pumps
+ Maintain deep well injection pressures, rates, and pH staying within permit parameters
+ Maintain deep well annulus pressure to prevent waste water leaking into the environment
+ Maintain site Waste Water Treatment Plant to prevent failure of system and prevent permit violations for outfall requirements
+ Extract representative waste samples from scrubber blow-down, injection tank, and batch tanks, completes appropriate labeling, and maintains record keeping on sampling according to established standards
+ Operate a variety of rolling stock such as:
+ Forklifts, Manlifts, Scissor Lifts, Roll-Off Truck, Front-end Loader, Backhoe, 80BBL tanker, 130BBL tanker, Yard Mule, and Tractor
**Qualifications**
**Education/Experience/Background:**
+ High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent required
+ Specific knowledge and experience may be considered to select candidates.
+ Prior Water treatment experience preferred
+ Surface/Distribution Water License is a plus
+ Minimum two years process operations experience preferred
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
+ Must possess basic operational knowledge of Google & Microsoft based applications
+ Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Access, Word & Excel
+ Must be able to learn and operate site computer programs without assistance
+ Must consistently demonstrate the ability to operate assigned machines and equipment meeting or exceeding processing and quality targets under general supervision.
+ Must demonstrate ability to efficiently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt presses, and measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.
+ Must have the ability to diagnose process and mechanical problems in single or multiple unit processes, troubleshoot basic equipment and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations.
+ Must demonstrate a working ability to use computer programs for process control
**Required Certification/Licenses/Training:**
+ Must be able to obtain respirator certifications and maintain fit test compliance
+ Must maintain current status on all annual site and corporate training requirements
+ Must be able to get signed off on the usage of site rolling stock such as: Forklifts, Roll-off Trucks, Backhoe, Front-end Loader, Manlift, 80BBL tanker, 130BBL tanker, etc.
+ Possess or obtain at minimum a Class-C Surface and/or Distribution Water License
+ Class-B or Class-A licenses accepted and preferred
