Qualifications

Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $50.663. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. Ramboll is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer in our Binghamton, NY office.The selected candidate for this position will be expected to work across a wide range of mechanical engineering knowledge areas and have a desired focus area in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning related work. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Performing design and engineering work in various areas of the mechanical discipline. The majority of the work will be related to heating, ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC); however, the candidate should also expect work in industrial piping, plumbing, central utility plants, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, steam systems, and fire protection.

The engineer is also responsible to ensure all expenses are correctly input and processed through C&W vendor, Element, or C&W Workday Expense Reimbursement.
+ Depending on the geographic regions, candidate may need to perform maintenance in client CEV (Controlled Environmental Vault's) locations. These locations in many cases are underground and require additional safety measures to enter and must be strictly adhered to. These locations are critical to the client's network and need to be maintained regularly.

**Scheduling**
Most schedules work typical business hours based on location assigned.

+ Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.
+ Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.

As a CBRE HVAC Mobile Engineer, you will be working on preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.

**What you'll do**
Working under limited supervision, applies advanced building maintenance skills to perform sophisticated preventive maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC roof top units (RTU's) and refrigeration equipment, such as walk in/reach in coolers and freezers, building systems and equipment, vehicles, and grounds within a route. Uses several trade skills beyond HVAC and refrigeration skills such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
Follows all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time, materials, and orders supplies needed to complete repair. Handles work orders and records completion in CMMS.
Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.
Maintains an energy management program to ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner to minimize costs. Maintains the building lighting system.
Responds to emergency situations, summoning assistance as needed. May serve as a mentor to other technicians.
