The role

The pedagogy function provides strategic guidance, data, and evaluation to products and technology throughout the development cycle to help product, research, and engineering teams build high-quality learning features and technology.

This function strives to
  • Collaborate with researchers and data scientists to increase awareness and application of learning science research, best practices, and trends by connecting with educators and field experts.
  • Represent the perspectives of educators to enable teams to build high-quality learning experiences in our products, models, and features.
  • Use standard frameworks and rubrics to measure the impact (or potential impact) that our products and features have on learning outcomes.
  • Measure efficacy of features, products, and models through longer-term research studies with external partners.
  • Enhance learning-related AI model performance and benchmarks by creating and evaluating data.

As a Pedagogy program manager, you will consult with product teams building learner-focused models. You will be assigned as a liaison to one or more product teams and become their primary point of contact for pedagogy needs throughout the product development life cycle, from foundational insights to rapid evaluations, to advising and summarizing full-scale evaluations.

In this role you will also apply standard Google program management skills such as stakeholder management, communications, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop pedagogy evaluation frameworks and processes that will be used to assess the quality of genAI tools
  • Provide thought leadership to product, engineering and UX teams by conducting longer-term foundational research
  • Consult with model development teams throughout the product development life cycle, representing educators' voices
  • Contribute to pedagogy team discussions and learning sessions about learning science principles and how they can be implemented in our products
  • Contribute to process improvements on the pedagogy team
About you

In order to set you up for success as a Pedagogy Program Manager at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program / project management or as an educator or developing education content
  • Demonstrate technical understanding and be comfortable working with engineers and with technology (including generative AI)

In addition, the following will be an advantage:
  • Educator and/or tutoring experience across multiple subjects and grade levels.
  • Experience building, advising, or working on education technology products that leverage generative AI.

  • 5+ years work experience securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software and services

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Fraud and Risk specializing in fraud, abuse, and corporate brand identity theft to join our dynamic Payments team.
