About the Role

We are looking for a Staff Test Automation Engineer to join our Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) product team. As a member of the NinjaOne technical team, you ensure we provide stable software solutions that deliver the reliability our customers expect from our products. You will work with top-tier engineers as you manage new and exciting challenges that impact on our product quality and customer satisfaction. Responsible for creating new software test automation that continuously validates our software. What Youll be Doing

• Test Automation: Generate and evaluate requirements for designing test scenarios to ensure maximum testing traceability. Create and review automated tests to ensure regression coverage across our products. Work with our development teams to define a testing protocol for new features as they are designed and developed.

• Technical Strategy: Recommend architectural insight into the best solutions to achieve our testing priorities using our current infrastructure as well as recommendations for new ones. Build, implement and evangelize a testing first software quality approach in our software development life cycle from beginning to end.

• Collaboration: Work alongside our engineers, product managers, and engineering leaders, ensuring quality standards are always achieved.

• Documentation: Create detailed reports on the quality and functionality of our software applications after thorough testing. Ensure any defects or issues are documented clearly for our engineering teams to implement.

About You

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or any other relevant technical degree, or equivalent work experience.

• 10+ years of experience in software development in either automation testing or backend software engineering with a focus on testing.

• 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing working with Systems Software Developers.

• You have keen attention to detail, ensuring all bugs and inconsistencies are mitigated.

• An ability to think on your feet, coupled with analytical prowess for identifying, documenting, resolving and escalating software code issues as they arise.

• Previous experience working on at least 1 of these 3 operating systems: Linux (preferred), Windows, or MAC.

• Experience programmatically setting up and configuring virtual machines would be an advantage.

The Hardware Test Automation Engineer will lead the development and implementation of advanced

automated test solutions for Ford’s next-generation electric vehicle (EV) powertrain components and

systems. This role requires a strong understanding of test automation principles, data acquisition

systems, and powertrain testing methodologies. The engineer will be responsible for the entire lifecycle

of test automation projects, from concept and design to implementation, validation, and deployment.

This includes developing automated test equipment and software for a variety of mechanical hardware,

including dyno testing, component-level validation, and system integration.

What you'll do.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated test solutions for EVpowertrain components and systems, including dynos, battery test systems, and powerelectronics test benches.

• Architect and maintain real-time controllers and data acquisition systems for various testplatforms, integrating fault injection capabilities for automated and repeatable testing.

• Develop and execute automated test scripts for various test platforms, maximizing efficiencyand data accuracy, leveraging tools such as LabVIEW, Python, and VeriStand, and PUMA.

• Specify, install, and calibrate data acquisition systems to collect comprehensive and reliable dataduring testing, ensuring compatibility with various communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN,SPI).

• Analyze test data, generate reports, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to automated test equipment, minimizingdowntime and maximizing test throughput.

You'll have…

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in hardware test automation, preferably with EV powertrains or similarsystems.

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electromechanical systems.

• Proficiency in data acquisition systems and analysis software.

• Extensive experience with test automation scripting and programming.
