Responsibilities:
- Create, apply, and interpret advanced statistical and machine learning approaches to solve a variety of business problems through client projects
- Serve as data and modeling SME on client projects - advise on data preparation, enrichment, model architecture, integration, etc.
- Understand client business problems and context in detail and design solutions in alignment with project objectives and in collaboration with broader consulting team
- Communicate project findings, conclusions and recommendations to your peers
- Participate in and lead portions of client meetings to review and present analytical approaches and modeling results, answer questions and discuss feedback
- Contribute to general project needs and deliverables such as status updates, meeting content and project handoff/implementation materials
- In addition to assigned projects, support consulting teams engaged with big data environments as needed
- Help standardize/consolidate modeling approaches to support optimization of Data Science project delivery
- Support Data Science practice development and participate in team meetings (e.g., new service offerings, content curation, trainings, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree with record of solid academic achievement (Analytics, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Business or other relevant fields)
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to execute responsibilities with a high degree of independence
- Knowledge of supervised & unsupervised machine learning algorithms for regression/classification
- Proficiency with open-source data science languages - Python required, R also preferred
- Experience with Data Visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau
- Moderate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are preferred
- Familiarity with corporate data architectures and tools such as DB/warehousing is a plus
- Moderate foundation of business knowledge (Sales and Marketing experience ideal)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects
- Strong interpersonal, team working skills and communication skills (written and verbal)

In this role, you will collaborate with our team of pricing, portfolio management, underwriting, finance and claims experts to deliver consulting and technology solutions to our personal lines insurance clients.

**The Responsibilities**
+ Lead, build, and participate on teams to deliver actuarial-focused client projects

+ Extract and analyze data from electronic health record (EPIC/eRecord) as well as other registries.
+ Collaborate with team to understand the scope of project, best data sources, and develop reporting metrics.
+ Conduct chart abstractions including identifying eligible patients, apply definitions, and validating data.
+ Collaborate with and mentor staff at affiliate hospitals.
+ Provide education and training for new and existing staff, clarify registry data definitions, troubleshoot data entry issues and perform data analyses for affiliate NICUs as required.
+ Meet with affiliate registry staff as needed.
+ Directs staff activities in gathering, compiling, and analyzing information.

This analyst will work closely with business teams in Operations, Asset Management and Engineering, as well as IT, digital product and platform teams. This analyst will bring the capability to create data insights form data sets, reports and dashboards; conduct analysis independently and in partnership with business teams; assist in the enhancement of existing digital products and the design of new ones; and help close the quality gaps by defining logic and requirements that meet our business needs. The Mayors Office of Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (OM/WBE) was created to address income inequality across the city and to address the disparity in City contracts awarded to certain ethnic and gender groups and the Citys overall representation in City contracting. OM/WBE is responsible for oversight, policy, interagency coordination, and accountability for the Citys Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE). It serves as a one-stop-shop for M/WBEs interested in doing business with the city and its agencies.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will report to the Deputy Director, Strategic initiatives and Performance Reporting (SIPR) and with wide latitude for independent judgment will perform the following job responsibilities, which include and are not limited to:
- Managing data systems, implementing tools, and ensuring system configurations align with regulatory compliance.
- Extracting, cleaning, normalizing, and assessing a high volume of complex and diverse data sets; develop data analysis strategies, conducting analyses of procurement data and patterns for agencies; translating data into actionable insights. making appropriate recommendations for optimizing M/WBE utilization; and developing performance indicators and track performance to measure impact of current and new policy directives,
- Supporting the Deputy Director in the review and assessment of diverse procurement submissions of agencies, systems and data analysis, and maintaining related records and reports.
- Performing special projects, generating, dashboards, ad hoc reports and analyses as needed, including drafting talking points and presentations for internal and external meetings and reviewing and editing proposals or policies related to the program.
- Performing analytics tasks using agency contracting, including running queries, conducting analyses, and developing reports using statistical and quantitative methods.
- Preparing routine reports and presentations of program performance data graphs/service trends.
- Maintaining and updating existing dashboards as needed using software such as Power BI and assisting in developing new dashboards as needed.
- Representing OM/WBE at interagency meetings and various external meetings and events related to the M/WBE Program.
- Leading team meetings, developing meeting agendas and facilitating productive discussions that support successful program outcomes and goals.
- Developing training materials and conducting training on program updates as needed.
- Creating guidance documents for internal staff and external users detailing updates to queries and reports.
- Spearheading special projects and strategic initiatives around M/WBE program performance reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

The Legal Data Analysis team plays a critical role in the development and maintenance of Bloomberg Industry Group's products, which include Bloomberg Law (BLAW), Bloomberg Tax (BTAX) and Bloomberg Government (BGOV). Our team of former practicing attorneys applies their legal expertise and deep understanding of customer workflows to support AI product development. Our team works cross-functionally, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams to develop and evaluate AI-driven solutions, ensuring they are accurate, intuitive, and valuable to legal, tax and government professionals.
**What's The Role?**
As a Legal Data Analyst, you'll apply your tax and accounting expertise in a dynamic, non-traditional setting and help support development of Bloomberg Tax's AI-enabled tools from a data perspective. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to evaluate data quality, test AI performance, and ensure product decisions reflect user needs and expectations. Your analytical thinking, attention to detail, and understanding of practitioner workflows will directly influence the quality and success of our products.

+ Communicate nuanced legal and tax concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate complex problems effectively

**You'll need to have:**
+ A Bachelor's degree
+ Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
+ Admission to a U.S. State Bar
+ 2+ years of relevant tax practice experience
+ Familiarity with online legal research and accounting tools
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with particular focus on sophisticated and complex concepts
+ Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work product on demanding deadlines
