**RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ **Strategic Media Planning:** Develop and execute retail media strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on driving sales and increasing visibility. Guide and manage strategy and campaign planning for mid and upper funnel channels (CTV, OLV, Display, Paid Social).
+ **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media agencies, client teams, retailer partners, and ad technology partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align advertising strategies with overall business objectives.
+ **Client Management:** Lead client meetings to understand needs, create recommendations, and present solutions. Prepare and present quarterly and annual business reviews for top-tier clients.
+ **Project & Performance Management:** Lead technical projects to improve customer experience and introduce new e-commerce features. Monitor campaign performance, leveraging data insights to optimize targeting, keywords, bids, and ad placements. Conduct A/B testing and post-campaign analysis to provide recommendations for repeat business.
+ **Industry Expertise:** Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape. Be the resident expert on retail media, maintaining platform certifications and expertise across multiple retail media solutions (Amazon, Walmart, Target/Roundel, Instacart) and associated ad technology (AMC, Scintilla, Skai, Commerce IQ).
+ **Process Improvement:** Identify opportunities to streamline processes and create supporting documentation. Proactively implement changes to drive performance and efficiency.
+ **Additional Responsibilities:** Undertake additional tasks as needed to support team and client requirements.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ 8+ years of experience in **managing retail media ad solutions** (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Instacart) with a track record of achieving client objectives.
+ 5+ years of experience leading and coaching a team, ideally with 3-5 direct reports.
+ A strong player/coach team member, with the ability to roll up their sleeves to help specialists.
+ Proficiency in **performance marketing, conversion optimization,** and **online customer acquisition** .
+ An exceptional eye for detail, analytical, and ability to solve problems given the fast-paced nature of our division, and the aptitude to multitask.

Job Summary: Associate Digital Media Buyer
The Minnesota Star Tribune is looking for an Associate Digital Media buyer to help with the development, execution, optimization, and analysis of complete digital marketing campaigns for our clients. The primary responsibility of the Associate Digital Media Buyer is to set up digital media campaigns for owned, operated and advantage digital campaigns. A successful digital media campaign will achieve or exceed delivery and performance based on KPIs outlined by clients and communicated to the buyer.
The Minnesota Star Tribune Digital Operations team gives clients an advantage over traditional local media. Along with our own digital assets such as Startribune.com, our smartphone apps, and newsletter campaigns, we build out complete digital marketing campaigns for our clients including paid search, social media marketing and off-channel audience based programmatic buys. Our teams execute, optimize, and analyze both owned and operated and off channel marketing campaigns for our clients to ensure the best results. We are more than a newspaper publisher; our sales executives and digital operations staff take the time to strategize and develop full-service campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of digital media campaigns across various buying platforms.
- Monitor digital media campaigns within multiple DSP's daily.
- Optimize toward established KPIs during the life of a campaign.
- Pull data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations to take to strategists and digital leads.
- Manage, prioritize, and respond to ad-hoc requests as assigned.
- Research and stay abreast of current industry best practices and trends, develop and maintain digital best practices, and promote digital optimization techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or certification; or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience utilizing Real-Time Bidding technologies (DSPs, Ad Exchanges, SSPs).
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex client campaigns and relationships against performance metrics.
- Ad trafficking experience utilizing platforms such as Google Campaign Manager.
- Experience with Google Ad Manager or other ad serving technology.
- DoubleClick Campaign Manager/DoubleClick Bid Manager and Google Analytics certifications are preferred but not required.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the industry, development processes and business priorities.
