Job Description

**ADP is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst - FPA.**
+ _Are you a financial analyst with expertise in Excel and creating financial models from scratch?_
+ _Are you highly skilled in partnering with business units to provide critical analysis and support?_
+ _Are you looking to join a dynamic, inclusive team environment with a culture of collaboration and belonging?_
Well, this may be the role for you.
As a Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A, you will drive and execute the forecasting, planning and analytical support for ADP's Smart Compliance Solutions business unit.
You will understand and monitor business expense, keeping business leaders in line with plan expectations. You will identify and manage financial and operational KPIs by product and enable an environment where key performance indicators drive business decisions. Additionally, you will assist with variance research during the monthly close process.
The day to day of this role will depend on which part of the financial life cycle we are in. While the day to day may shift, common to all these activities is one thing: becoming the subject matter expert for your business unit.
**What you'll do:**
**Here's what you can expect on a typical day:**
+ **Business Partnering** . You will help your business unit partners identify and manage KPIs, and provide insight around expense metrics, drivers, actual performance, current outlook, and long-term projections.
+ **Financial Analysis** . You will perform financial analyses as it relates to operating expenses, business plans, and other business metrics used for reporting and decision support.
+ **Learn** . You will continually enhance your knowledge and skills, including metrics specific to your business unit while also understanding and maintaining the common analytical framework around ADP expenses. Exploring the "what", "why" and "so what" around drivers.
+ **Model Building** . You will build out and enhance financial models to ensure we are always evolving our processes. This may include maintaining existing models or a complete rebuild of a model that no longer produces reasonable outputs.
**Experience.** You have 5-8 years of experience in relevant data analysis and Excel modeling skills, gained and developed in a Financial Analyst, Senior Financial Analyst, or similar role.
**TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:**
+ Experience building financial models from scratch and enhancing existing models.
+ Advanced Excel experience, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Index Match, and nested formulas.
+ Strong track-record of business partnership and corporate FP&A experience, including proven proficiency in performing complex financial analyses.
+ Ability to dive-deep and take complete ownership of complex projects and handle competing priorities.
+ Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions while explaining your position on metrics and drivers, and to parse complex financial analysis into meaningful communications for business leaders.
+ Proven ability to work well both independently and within a team environment, understanding when best to collaborate to achieve optimal results.
+ Ability to think critically and work within set guidelines, but also able to work within the "gray area" when historical trends do not produce reasonable results or projections.
+ Self-starter who possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity and has a passion for continuous process improvement.
+ You will have a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
**For extra comfortability in this role:**
+ Experience with Excel Power Query, Hyperion, Tableau, SQL.
+ Experience presenting to senior leadership.
+ MBA in Finance, Analytics, or related field.
**YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN:**
+ **Have courageous team collaboration.** Courage comes from how associates are willing to have difficult conversations, speak up, be an owner, and challenge one another's ideas to net out the best solution.
+ **Deliver at epic scale.** We deliver real user outcomes using strong judgment and good instincts. We're obsessed with the art of achieving simplicity with a focus on client happiness and productivity.
+ **Be surrounded by curious learners.** We align ourselves with other smart people in an environment where we grow and elevate one another to the next level. We encourage our associates to listen, stay agile, and learn from mistakes.
+ **Act like an owner & doer.** Mission-driven and committed to leading change, you will be encouraged to take on any challenge and solve complex problems. No tasks are beneath or too great for us. We are hands-on and willing to master our craft.
+ **Give back to others.** Always do the right thing for our clients and our community and humbly give back to the community where we live and work. Support our associates in times of need through ADP's Philanthropic Foundation.
