**Essential Skills**

Summary

Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of operations/production equipment

Essential Functions

  1. Required to request support from other Maintenance Techs and Maintenance Managers, as necessary; all maintenance positions support operations/production first, when necessary

What are the responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician?

  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of an apartment community, including all areas related to the day-to-day operations

What are the role requirements?

**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Join our team as a Maintenance Technician in an aluminum extrusion environment, where you will be responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance. Your role will include preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and facilities maintenance tasks. You will work on aluminum extrusion machines and may also be involved with CNC machines, brake presses, lasers, and powder coating equipment. **Responsibilities** + Participate in daily passover meetings to coordinate maintenance activities. + Perform reactive maintenance to ensure continuous production operations. + Repair and maintain extrusion machines, including 3-phase 480v motors, servo and AC/DC motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, extruders, VFDs, and gear boxes. + Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as greasing bearings and tightening bolts. + Troubleshoot and operate PLC-controlled equipment. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in pneumatics and hydraulics. + Experience in PLC troubleshooting and industrial maintenance. + Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. + Experience with hydraulic presses. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Welding skills are preferred. + Experience in facilities maintenance is beneficial. + Previous experience with extrusion processes is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Become part of a dynamic team in a thriving industrial environment, where your skills in maintenance will ensure operational excellence. There is potential to transition to an on-call program. Major preventive maintenance programs occur twice a year, typically in July and December. The dress code includes wearing jeans and steel-toed footwear. Shifts are available as 1st shift (7:00am-3:00pm), 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm), and 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:00am). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cassopolis, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. • Perform the required Maintenance activities and tasks to keep equipment safe, functional, and efficient by executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance actions.

  • Able to sit, stand, stoop and have use of hand motor coordination regularly.
  • Capable of moving up and down building stairways in a multi-level plant to reach job assignments and perform the tasks required.
  • Worker will be exposed to all hazards of machinery and equipment in an operational baking environment.

Ability to lift 50 pounds, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time in a hot environment.
