- Direct and redirect patient care services that ensures the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patient; and the performance of disease prevention and restorative measures.
- Direct and redirect patient care services, including, but not limited to, the administration of medications and therapeutic agents, necessary to implement a treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitation regimen as assessed by and/or ordered by and within the scope of licensure of a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, dentist, podiatrist and clinical psychologist.
- Examines patients to determine presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, medical history, ascertains nature and extent of illness and prescribes treatments as indicated.
- Documents and maintains patient records of services provided according to agency and JCAHO standards.
- Develops and institutes appropriate treatment plans per protocol with the consultation of the Medical Director. Treatment will include the care of acute and chronic medical problems.
- Provides and assists with various counseling and education functions.
- Responsible for other related job duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
The successful candidate has:
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience working with underserved, low-income persons or homeless persons preferred.
- Current BLS and DEA certification
- Bilingual in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish speaking preferred
Nurse Practitioner:
- Current California RN/NP/NPF License.
- Current Nurse Practitioner board certification.

Summary
This position diagnoses and treats acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team. In addition, this position focuses on health promotion and disease prevention; order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and x- rays; and prescribe medication.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant studies required.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Advanced Practice Pediatric Clinical Psychologist has training in select areas that enables them to provide specialized direct patient care in assigned locations. The psychologist is expected to follow Rady Children's integrated behavioral health models and guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
1. Advanced Clinical Care
* Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic wounds, including venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic wounds, and surgical wounds.
* Perform bedside procedures such as:
* Excisional and sharp debridement
* Negative pressure wound therapy management
* Application of advanced wound modalities (e.g., skin grafts, ultramist)
* Oversee feeding tube placements, replacements, and maintenance with a focus on safety and precision.
* Monitor wound healing progress and make adjustments to care plans based on evidence-based practices.
2. Patient Advocacy and Education
* Serve as an advocate for patients, addressing concerns and creating care plans tailored to their unique needs.
* Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on:
* Wound care techniques
* Feeding tube management, safety, and troubleshooting
* Recovery strategies and health promotion practices
* Build trust, empathy, and strong relationships with patients and their support networks.

7. Regional Travel and Mobility
* Travel extensively within the assigned region, driving up to 50–60 miles daily to visit multiple care sites.
* Maintain reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
* Adapt to varied care settings, ensuring consistency and high-quality care delivery.
8. Technology and Communication Proficiency
* Leverage technology tools, including:
* Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* EHR systems and mobile healthcare devices

Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
* Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
* Active, unrestricted NP license in California and/or Texas.
* National certification through AANP or ANCC.
* DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances.
Experience & Skills:
* Minimum of 2 years in clinical practice (experience in geriatrics, family medicine, internal medicine, or wound care preferred).
* Strong clinical judgment and proficiency in wound care and feeding tube management.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
