Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mainframe Computer Operator to join our 2nd shift operations team. This role is responsible for monitoring and managing batch job processing in a mainframe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with MVS or OS/390 systems, job scheduling tools (preferably Control-M), and basic JCL troubleshooting. This person must reside in WI. They may be required to spend a few days in Madison for training.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Monitor and manage batch job execution on mainframe systems.
+ Identify and resolve job abends, including basic JCL review and troubleshooting.
+ Submit and schedule jobs based on developer and customer requests.
+ Analyze and maintain complex job flows across mainframe and client-server environments.
+ Document issues and resolutions using incident tracking tools.
+ Perform quality assurance checks on new jobs to ensure compliance with operational standards.
+ Update and maintain job documentation and operational procedures.
+ Collaborate with development and support teams to resolve production issues.
+ Participate in meetings and provide input on operational improvements.
+ Train and support other team members as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
+ Experience with OS/390, MVS, and JCL.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.

- Performs daily work station set ups and teardown including machine cleaning and auxiliary equipment set-ups.
- Troubleshoots equipment and make repairs as needed.
- Must keep work cells stocked.
- Responsible for the quality level of the raw materials (includes drying material) used in the molding process to assure quality product.
- Develops processing knowledge of materials, additives and dyes.
- Dismantle set up and puts equipment and tools in their proper storage area.
- Cleans, sprays and transports molds to racks for storage on a daily basis.
- Must understand and apply scientific molding principles.
- Must be trained in compression molding, compounding, injection & blow molding, and assembly areas.
- Reports needs for to appropriate personnel and/or immediate supervisor.
- Actively assists in maintaining production goals.
- Assists in weighing, counting, inventory reporting, packing and storage of finished product.
- Relieves operators for duties during rest periods.
- Responsible for keeping a clean and organized work area.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED; or up to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
