Client Overview: Our client is a leading manufacturer of men’s and women’s apparel, known for their commitment to quality, trend-right design, and innovation. With a strong presence in the fashion industry, they are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Temporary Merchandise Assistant to join their fast-paced and collaborative team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $20/hr - $23/hr Position Overview: The Temporary Merchandise Assistant will support the Merchandising and Buying teams in managing purchase orders, reporting, and vendor communication. This role plays an essential part in ensuring product flow, analyzing sales, and maintaining cross-functional alignment. Ideal candidates will be highly organized, Excel-proficient, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities of the Temporary Merchandise Assistant:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of purchase orders.
- Generate and distribute weekly/monthly sales reports and sales analysis.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, for data tracking and reporting.
- Communicate regularly with vendors and cross-functional internal teams.
- Track merchandise shipments, deliveries, transfers, and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure on-time delivery of merchandise by partnering with buyers, merchants, and external vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Prior experience in retail or fashion environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized with strong administrative and planning skills.
- Experience supporting buying or merchandising functions.
- Familiarity with PLM or ERP systems is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
