What's a typical day as a Final Line Mechanic I ? You'll be:
- Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components. Rig control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear and doors, engines, cowls, aircraft entry doors and associated parts and hardware.
- Remove and replace linkage, sectors, components, cut and fit system lines and associated hardware necessary to facilitate and perform basic repairs.
- Responsible for quality and efficiency of all installations; ensure all parts/assembly meet requirements. Perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.
- Install systems lines, valves, ducts and associated parts and hardware. Work to ensure a leak free system.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, including permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, wrenches, checking tools, witness gauges, etc. and tools to successfully complete component and perform minor structure installation.
- Remove and replace, cut and fit systems lines, panels and structural components and associated hardware necessary t o facilitate and perform basic repairs.
- Update and sign required. logs and records as required.
- Check own work to ensure a defect free installation prior to final inspection.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs and comply with all safety regulations.
- Demonstrate company's Manufacturing competencies in the employee effectiveness review.
- Maintain and use all logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.
- Support continuous improvement processes as assigned. .
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use common hand tools (Wrenches, Sockets, Torque Wrenches, Battery operated Drills, etc.)
- Familiarity with pneumatic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and instructions.
- Familiar with interpreting blueprints or schematics.
- Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.
- Requires ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams and use all tools required. to do the job.
- Ability to perform work such as basic drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts, etc.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas and lift up to 50 lbs.

Georgia Pacific is hiring a Maintenance Planner for our Rincon, GA location!
Our Team
Our Maintenance Planners support the Maintenance team by utilizing their experience, technical, and analytical skills. We plan future tasks, create a job plan library, and update asset strategies to develop job plan accuracy. We also promote reliability-centered Maintenance to maximize long term value creation with a focus on increasing wrench time, and machine reliability utilizing the Asset Care Work Process.
The current position is on dayshift (6:50am to 5:10pm, 4 to 5 days per week). Occasional nights and weekends may be required. In this role, pay will be commensurate with experience .
What You Will Do
- Plan future jobs by performing field inspections and developing accurate work scopes
- Provide Maintenance ample work to cover available maintenance work hours for at least one week or more
- Maintain and develop bills of materials for accuracy
- Identify and attempt to resolve safety and environmental issues
- Work with Reliability group to increase equipment performance and operation
- Work with Engineering to assist with asset strategy development for new equipment and upgrades
- Obtain quote for contract work utilizing a scope of work provided by the GPR
- Create job plans for weekly scheduled shutdowns and mechanical task for mill down periods
- Maintain an accurate backlog of work
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3 or more years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience utilizing Maintenance CMMS systems
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook
What Will Put You Ahead
- Prior experience in planning
- Experience with the current CMMS system, SAP
- Experience developing updating / maintaining job plans, and BOMs
- Experience working with paper machine systems

**Roles and Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery, including hydraulic dock levelers, conveyors, and more.
+ Demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting skills with clear and effective communication.
+ Utilize hand tools, electrical testing tools, and computers efficiently.
+ Operate and maintain dock trucks, reach trucks, and other lifting equipment.
+ Adhere to safety protocols, including personal protective gear and lockout/tagout procedures.
+ Provide maintenance support for mechanical systems and manage AC/DC systems.
**Qualifications & Skills:**
+ Essential tools and an electrical voltmeter are required.
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
+ Flexibility to work shifts, including holidays and weekends.
+ Preferred knowledge of Bagging and Palletizing Equipment.
+ Welding experience is an asset.
