Qualifications & Details:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you are responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures. You will have all of the training, support, tools & equipment you need to provide the highest degree of quality care. Our team of nursing care professionals & mentors will be by your side every day, including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and Administrator.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents. And ensuring that all resident rights are protected.

2. Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.

3. Checking all residents daily to ensure that prescribed treatment is being properly administered by nursing personnel/assistants and to evaluate their physical and emotional status.

4. Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.

5. Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.

6. Administering professional services such as: catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc., as established by the facility’s policies and procedures.

7. Completing all Licensed Practical Nurse LPN required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, discharge, transfer, etc. File in the resident’s chart and/or forward to the appropriate department.

8. Giving and receiving nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.

9. Investigating complaints and grievances and making necessary oral/written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.

10. Presenting in a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.

11. Adhering to our policies and standards.

Salary - and Duty Location Recruitment Incentives - and Benefits Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows: GS-9: $61,111 - $24,443 per year Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to 45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, generous annual and sick leave, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan. LOCATION INCENTIVES: If you accept one of the duty locations listed below, you may be eligible to receive an additional 15%-25% of your salary each year for the first three (3) years of employment in addition to any overtime pay. Some locations may offer 25% for four (4) years. Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes: * Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods. * Enforcing laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping. * Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats. * Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity. Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience AND successfully completed graduate-level education. Other Requirements: * Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. * Residency: Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years. * Age Restriction: Must be referred before your 40th birthday (some exceptions apply). * Veterans' Preference: Eligible veterans may qualify for excepted service appointment.
