1. Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs

5. Evaluates patient care outcomes
6. Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees

An orthopedic registered nurse (RN) specializes in caring for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, such as fractures, joint replacements, arthritis, and osteoporosis. These nurses work in various settings, including hospital orthopedic units, outpatient clinics, and rehabilitation centers, providing comprehensive care to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries or managing chronic musculoskeletal disorders.€

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a associates degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
