**Summary/General Description of Job:** The High Voltage Electrician performs duties necessary to maintain in good repair all high voltage electrical and peripheral low voltage systems and equipment. Perform general maintenance and repair of facility electrical systems and equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge at a Journeyman/Lineman level. The incumbent installs, maintains, and repairs equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
**Essential Duties & Job Functions:**
- Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, pedestals, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, and other transmission equipment.
- Locates and diagnoses trouble in electrical systems or equipment.
- Work involves planning and layout of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions.
- Take and record cathodic protection reading, and the up channel for proper analysis
- Repairs Airfield Lighting systems, Secondary Electrical Distribution systems, and associated equipment.
- Installs and climbs poles and towers, and performs evaluation of in-service relays to detect failure of transmission, distribution lines, and equipment.
- Operates switches to isolate defective components and remove for repair. Installs and repairs overhead and underground power lines. Installs, disconnects, removes, and repairs electrical power meters.
- Inspects work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, policies, and regulations.
- Responds to call-outs after normal working hours, as needed.
- Assists other trades and crafts personnel in their daily operations, as directed.
- Follows established safety procedures and utilizes safety protective equipment and clothing pertaining to particular trades or skills.
- Ensures proper housekeeping of jobsite, mechanical rooms, and shops.
- Performs related work as assigned.
**Accountable For:**
- Common safety practices and protective equipment used on a construction site.
- Procedures for the safe operation and maintenance of electrical circuits, both overhead and underground.
- Solid-state and conventional control circuitry,
- The use of hand and power tools is commonly used in the construction trade.
- Understanding and following directions.
- Reading and working from blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Working on or from elevated platforms.
**Requirments:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Rough/ Finish Carpenter - Remote, AK
Carpenter for a commercial project including general construction work, civil and form work, structural steel stud and shear wall framing, roof built up assembly. Finish carpentry skills including installation of moisture and vapor barriers, metal siding and flashings, door and window installation including commercial grade hardware, cabinets, furnishings, and trim. Davis Bacon 60hrs weekly.
**Responsibilities**
E **ssential Duties:**
+ Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
+ Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
+ Follow established safety rules, regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
+ Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
+ Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using carpenters' hand or power tools.
+ Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level.
+ Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, or power tools.
+ Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools, wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
+ Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
+ Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
+ Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts and man-lifts.
+ Additional duties as assigned.
**Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:**
+ Knowledge of general, basic construction techniques and safe working practices is essential.
+ Must be able to read and interpret blue prints, drawings and spec books.
+ Must be able to work in a clean and neat manner and with respect to owner's property and operations.
+ Have a basic understanding of interrelated systems such as the electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
+ Must be able perform assigned duties in a safe and proficient manner.

**Qualifications**

+ Lift/push/pull 50lbs to 100lbs on an occasional basis.
+ Lift/push/pull up to 20lbs on a frequent basis.
+ Will be required to have the ability to bend, squat, crouch, crawl, and kneel.
+ Will have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps).
+ Perform prolonged standing (2-3 hour intervals).
+ Able to work at a variety of levels (ex. waist, eye, above head).
+ Must have good balance while working on uneven surfaces and maneuvering obstacles.

**Summary: Lead Carpenter - Remote, AK**
Summary: Lead carpentry on a commercial project including construction work, all types of framing, including walls, roofs, insulation and vapor barrier installation, finish carpentry skills including installation of cabinets and trim, door and window installation including commercial grade hardware. This position is a Non-Exempt Temporary Position. This position is for a working foreman able to interpret plans and lead crews under the supervision of the acting superintendent. Must have interpersonal skills. Davis Bacon 23' scale - 60+ hrs weekly.
**Responsibilities**

+ Perform construction work, all types of framing, including walls, roofs, insulation and vapor barrier installation.
+ Finish carpentry skills including installation of cabinets and trim, door and window installation including commercial grade hardware.
+ Operate basic construction equipment, such as forklifts and loaders.
+ Read and interpret plans and specifications.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Perform duties and operation of tools of the trade in strict compliance with OSHA rules.

+ Have Advanced knowledge of related construction activities, i.e., mechanical & electrical systems.
+ Knowledge of carpentry on a commercial project including construction work, all types of framing, including walls, roofs, insulation and vapor barrier installation.
+ Knowledge of finish carpentry skills including installation of cabinets and trim, door and window installation including commercial grade hardware.
+ Perform independently without direct supervision
+ Ability to operate basic construction equipment, such as forklifts and loaders.
+ Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to perform duties and operation of tools of the trade in strict compliance with OSHA rules.
+ Have punctual and on time work history.
+ Ability to run crews of carpenters & laborers
