On the job training is provided as needed.

Job Functions:

• Performs advanced setup operations and adjusts machine tools to perform operations from provided programs.
• Adjusts and checks out programming.
• Operates CNC machine tools to perform complex series of progressive machining operations on a diverse line of work.
• Adjusts speeds and feeds during operation.

Overview : As a CNC Programmer for Merrill: A Keel Company, you will be responsible for using knowledge of machine operations to develop code to control any CNC Machine within the organization to meet all production delivery and quality requirements. On-the-job and external training will be required and provided as needed.

Job Functions:

• Incumbents prepare process plans, including positioning of carriage and/or tool, rate of feed, speed of rotation, tool changes
• May determine the suitability of a part for automation and may determine the appropriate machine assignments on the basis of efficiency and quality requirements
• Create programs and verify in Vericut software, create tool lists, setup sheets and some 3D modeling and fixture design in Solidworks
• Utilize and develop new tools and cutting methods

Physical Demands: Sitting and computer use for extended periods of time. Repetitive motions may be part of the job, no heavy lifting more than 50 lbs without mechanical assistance.

• Performs product or process inspection utilizing standardized inspection methods.
• Visually and physically check parts against blueprint or work order specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Completes quality packages that conform to customer standards.
• This position is consider to be in training towards a Level II Inspector / Auditor

Physical Demands : Frequent standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance. This position requires regular computer and inspection tool usage as well as physical handling of parts.

Overview: As a Materials Clerk for Keel Midwest, you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments according to production and shipping schedules, as well as department priorities. While this position is primarily focused on utilizing equipment such as cranes and forklifts, you may also be required to maintain manual or computerized records and updating ERP systems accordingly. This position will assist the inventory manager.

• Reviews production schedules and related information.
• Confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements.
• Identifies and tracks on time and overdue material.
• Monitors materials and schedules for data integrity.
• Assists materials team as needed with the flow of product throughout the manufacturing plant.
