The Child Life Specialist essential functions:
- Assesses patients to identify the psychosocial, financial and environmental needs of patients as evidenced by documentation, clinical records, case conferences, team report, call-in logs, and on-sit e evaluation.
- Makes the initial Child Life Specialist evaluation visit and re-evaluates the patient’s Child Life Specialist needs during each following visit.
- Communicates significant findings, problems, and changes in condition or environment to the Supervisor, the physician and/or other personnel involved with patient care.
Reports unsafe conditions and the outcome of each visit to the appropriate Supervisor as appropriate by the end of the day.
Implements the plan for patient safety, using the patient, family, and community resources.
- Participates in implementation and developmentof the Plan of Care to ensure quality and continuity of care and proper discharge planning.
- Verifies the Plan of Care prior to each visit and provides care according to physician’s orders, assessment data, and established standards and guidelines.
- Initiates and revises the Plan of Care in response to identified patient care issues.
- Writes physician orders to cover additional visits and changes to the plan of care, per agency policy.
- Incorporates patient care goals established in the plan of care, as evidenced by documentation in clinical note.
- Performs appropriate skilled services/interventions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and certified by the patient’s physician.
- Counsels and instructs and includes the patient and family in following the Plan of Care and meeting Child Life Specialist and related needs.
- Assures the continuity of quality patientcare delivered.
- Maintains communication with clinical staff providing updates and changes in schedules, patient data or needs, physician orders or special instructions.
- Participates in patient care conferences offering clinical suggestions.
- Assures clinical notes indicate continuing communication and coordination of services with physician, other staff and disciplines.

- EDUCATION : Bachelors degree in relevant field and CCLS certification from the Child Life Council.
- LICENSURE : Current CCLS certification
- EXPERIENCE : 2 year Child Life Specialist experience in a healthcare setting.
- REQUIRED: Reliable transportation. Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 25 lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team providing care and delegated activities of treatment to patients. The PCT will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) for patients with renal failure.
What you'll be doingPatient care. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include gathering patient stats before and after treatment, initiating treatment, monitoring patients during treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting patient blood samples per physician orders.
Technician Duties. You will ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control, ensuring all protocols and regulations are followed.
Safety and Quality. You will use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. You will participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
The Dialysis Patient Care Technician position is for our South Georgia Clinic, located at 3564 N Crossing Cir, Valdosta, GA 31602.
What we're looking for- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
- Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
- Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
Other requirements
- Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency; this includes successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
- Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter. Specific state requirements may be applicable and required.

As a registered nurse at Georgia Hospice Care, you’ll evaluate patients and create care plans, all while communicating with everyone involved — the patient, the patient’s family, and the care team. You’ll serve as the driver of our care team to ensure every patient receives quality care.

A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license as a registered nurse
- Experience: 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting (hospice experience preferred)
- Required: Reliable transportation. Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 80-100 lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively
