This Senior Mechanical Engineer role offers a unique opportunity to develop the next-generation, truck-mounted ground-based radar system. Working in parallel with design and manufacturing, this hands-on role will be building and shaping the future of defense technology.

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following: 

• Application of mechanical engineering principles for the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies and systems.
• Develop CAD 2D and 3D models of electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies and systems.
• Documentation of design solutions including reports, engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Present and discuss technical concepts, tradeoffs, analyses, designs, and performance estimates.
• Interface with Systems Engineering and other disciplines to develop/define/implement customer requirements.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in advanced mechanical design with broad application and a fundamental understanding of the product development life cycle.

• Fundamental understanding of industry accepted design methods and practices, including design spaces/tradeoffs, test data analysis, and requirement/specification change processes.
