BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist, OT, for a full time opportunity performing home health visits. This office works with adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in senior living communities throughout Somerset County.

As a home care Occupational Therapist, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Occupational Therapist, OT Responsibilities:

  • Perform outpatient therapy evaluations in order to develop a plan of care for patients in designated senior living communities or in a group home setting for adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Professionally operate at top of licensure utilizing current research-based approaches to care in order to maximize functional independence for your clients
  • Work closely with your home health therapy partners to appropriately transition care from home health to outpatient services in order to achieve client centered goals in their living environment, allowing the right care, at the right time for each client
  • Educate the client, family and community caregivers on the care plans created for your clients in order to achieve a team approach to maximizing functional independence
  • Perform evaluations, treatments and proper discharge planning for your clients utilizing out outpatient EMR platform to deliver and document on your individualized treatment approaches to meet the needs of your clients

Occupational Therapist, OT Qualifications:

  • A current NJ Occupational Therapist license.
  • Prior home care experience preferred, but not required
  • A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and problem solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a full time position with our new Central NJ Senior Living team - a Medicare Certified home health office.

This office provides best-in-class care to adult and geriatric clients living in communities that include assisted living, independent living, senior congregate living, 55+ communities, and intermediate care facilities for clients with intellectual disabilities throughout Somerset County .

*This is a hybrid position that may also include seeing clients in the traditional home health community setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and measurements, such as the mobility/range of joints, transfer status, stability, patterns and appearance of ambulation, strength and endurance of muscles, balance testing, and safety assessments.
  • Implement integumentary protective interventions to prevent wound formation and promote wound repair utilizing evidence-based dressings and topical agents.
  • Develop and implement appropriate individualized care plans, including manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and other interventions.
  • Continually assess and revise the Physical Therapy - PT care plan, and participate with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
  • Educate and instruct clients, family members, or other client representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to client care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.

Qualifications:

  • A current NJ Physical Therapist - PT license.

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse a for a 13-week, 26-week and long-term temp contract assignments at a Prestigious Hospital in Somerset, NJ.  


Job Function:  

  • Night Shift.
  • 3x12.
  • Categorizes patients in the appropriate level of classification.  
  • Applies external fetal monitor and interprets fetal heart tracing and uterine activity.  
  • Implements intervention appropriately based on fetal heart rate pattern and maternal status during labor.  
  • Identifies emergency situations, observes age and notifies provider accordingly.  
  • Screens patients for pain during the initial assessment and reassess according to guidelines.  

Job Requirements:  

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing  (BSN).   
  • Current RN license for the state of New Jersey.
  • 2  years of L&D RN experience is required.   
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications  from the American Heart Association  are required.  
  • Trauma level I or II experience required.
  • Experience with Peds, Triage, STMEl and Stroke Experience required.
