We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team! In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Requirements:  

  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. 
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in multiple states (assistance provided for travel placements). 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply. 
  • Adaptability to different healthcare settings, including skilled nursing, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home health.

Job Function:

  • Day Shift.

  • Maintains patient medical record and charts the following: nursing observation; vital signs; reactions to test, i.e., PPD results, in-house testing, and other pertinent information.
  • Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations of patients.
  • Initiates follow-up, as necessary. Instruct patients on healthcare issues, as indicated by physician, diagnosis and/or inquiries by patient.
  • Assesses and triages patients as they present, either by telephone or in person.

Job Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience working in an FQHC or fast paced outpatient/community health setting.   
  • Registered Nurse – NYS, CPR Certification, Infection Control Certification required.
