Assigned oversight of Patient Care Technicians/LPNs/LVNs/RNs as a Team Leader or designated Nurse in Charge, after meeting all the following:

* Successful completion of all FKC education and training requirements for new employees.
* Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as a RN.
* Must have a minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN.

EDUCATION and LICENSURE:

* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
* Current appropriate state licensure.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.

Essential Job Functions:
  • An Ophthalmic Assistant works with the ophthalmologists and optometrists to provide patient care by performing many different eye-related clinical functions.
  • Ophthalmic Assistants help care for patients by taking histories, performing various procedures and tests, and preparing patients to see the doctor.
  • Their work provides the ophthalmologists and optometrists with important information to help diagnose and treat patients.
  • Assist and provide patients with excellent customer service and any necessary information regarding treatment
  • Conduct tonometry tests to measure intraocular pressure
  • Measure visual acuity.
  • Take and document patients' medical histories.
  • Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
  • Conduct visual field tests to measure field of vision.
  • Instruct patients in the care and use of contact lenses.

The Quality Lab Supervisor's role is to provide leadership to the lab technicians and to oversee daily Quality Lab operations, including the supervision of all aspects and testing.

Responsibilities :

  • Communicate with and coach all Quality associates to ensure compliance with all plant, and Occupational Health & Safety policies.
  • Perform all duties of a supervisor as outlined in the Internal Responsibilities section of the AirBoss Health & Safety program manual.
  • Oversee and assist with milling, rheometer testing, physical testing, curing, and any other duties as needed.
  • Provide guidance to lab technicians, and train new technicians.
  • Serve as a resource for Quality Lab team. Communicate company policy, decisions, and change, positively and directly.
  • Prioritize the workload within the lab and assign tasks to lab technicians.
  • Coordinate with shift supervisors and the management team on quality issues.
  • Maintain lab and finish specifications.
  • Final decision making authority on releases, non-conformances, or any other issues arising on the shift.
  • Ensure all shipping and related paperwork are complete.
  • Before leaving at the end of each shift, ensure any required cleaning is completed, the lab is organized for the next shift, and all non-conforming batches are put on hold.
  • Maintain calibrations of the Quality Lab equipment.
  • Member of ISO Quality Core Team and participate as a Certified ISO auditor.
  • Attend the 8:30 am production meeting from Monday through Friday.
  • Discuss Quality Lab associate performance regularly, teaching, coaching where appropriate.
  • Complete a formal performance evaluation for each Quality Lab Technician once per year.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
