CT Technologist (Night Shift)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our Radiology team in Hackensack, NJ. The technologist will perform complex CT procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and 3D images for interpretation. This role also involves assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced CT imaging procedures using Siemens equipment.
- Review and obtain accurate patient clinical histories; document in PACS/EPIC.
- Prepare and screen patients for contrast administration; administer contrast media as prescribed.
- Verify prescriptions, insurance authorizations, and exam appropriateness.
- Communicate with radiologists and referring physicians to clarify or update orders.
- Evaluate imaging studies for diagnostic quality using PACS.
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Perform venipuncture and monitor patients during exams.
- Provide exam copies to patients, physicians, and family members as required.
- Rotate on call, weekends, holidays, and overtime shifts as needed.
- Adhere to all departmental and hospital policies and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
- ARRT (R) certification.
- BLS certification (or obtain within 3 months of hire).
- Minimum 2 years CT experience on Siemens equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARRT (CT) certification (or obtain within 12 months of hire).
- 6+ months of prior CT experience preferred.
- Knowledge of EPIC and HIS/RIS systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and CT positioning.
- Understanding of CT software, hardware, and PACS systems.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
Schedule:
- Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Monday–Friday + every other weekend
- Holidays as needed
- On call required
- 13-week assignment
