- Oversee prototype development and testing, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, R&D) throughout the product lifecycle.
- Identify and resolve complex engineering challenges related to product performance and manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging automotive technologies and industry trends.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in product development processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in automotive product development.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing new automotive products to market.
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, powertrain systems, or electrical systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in project management principles and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, and other automotive quality processes.
