**Position Summary/Mission:** The Analyst, Case Management utilizes critical thinking and judgment to collaborate and inform the case management process. The Analyst, Case Management facilitates appropriate healthcare outcomes for members by providing assistance with appointment scheduling, identifying and assisting with accessing benefits and education for members through the use of care management tools and resources.
**Fundamental Components**
+ Evaluation of Members: Through the use of care management tools and information/data review, conducts comprehensive evaluation of referred member's needs/eligibility and recommends an approach to case resolution and/or meeting needs by evaluating member's benefit plan and available internal and external programs/services.
+ Identifies high risk factors and service needs that may impact member outcomes and care planning components with appropriate referral to clinical case management or crisis intervention as appropriate.
+ Coordinates and implements assigned care plan activities and monitors care plan progress.
+ Enhancement of Medical Appropriateness and Quality of Care: - Using holistic approach consults with case managers, supervisors, Medical Directors and/or other health programs to overcome barriers to meeting goals and objectives; presents cases at case conferences to obtain multidisciplinary review in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
+ Identifies and escalates quality of care issues through established channels.
+ Utilizes negotiation skills to secure appropriate options and services necessary to meet the member's benefits and/or healthcare needs.
+ Utilizes influencing/ motivational interviewing skills to ensure maximum member engagement and promote lifestyle/behavior changes to achieve optimum level of health.
+ Provides coaching, information and support to empower the member to make ongoing independent medical and/or healthy lifestyle choices.
+ Helps member actively and knowledgably participate with their provider in healthcare decision-making.
+ Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation of Care: - Utilizes case management and quality management processes in compliance with regulatory and accreditation guidelines and company policies and procedures.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 2 years of experience in behavioral health, social services or appropriate related field equivalent to program focus
+ Confidence working at home/independent thinker, using tools to collaborate and connect with teams virtually
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Effective communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work independently
+ Proficiency with standard corporate software applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as some special proprietary applications

Job Description Position Purpose: This position will have a major administrative and program responsibility within the Institute for Protein Design (IPD), Department of Biochemistry in the UW School of Medicine and report directly to the executive head. The major focus of this position will fall under special project management involving establishment and administrative and programmatic coordination and ongoing management of operations at the new second location, 330 Yale, of the Institute for Protein Design. This position will lead the implementation of the programmatic goals of 330 Yale, which includes IPD's Translational Program, faculty support, and leading programs related to our Core Research groups and events. The IPD will have over 75 faculty and research staff reporting to this location and a dedicated Administrative Operations Specialist is necessary for the success of this site. Position Complexities: Reports directly to an Executive Head and has delegated authority to perform professional level administration and management of programmatic and administrative functions. Makes decisions or recommendations regarding assigned administrative and programmatic functions, such as special projects management and coordination, asset and resource allocation, space allocation and personnel management and multi-faceted Department/ IPD administrative services which may include a percentage of time spent performing duties such as developing meeting agendas and taking meeting minutes, revising schedules and calendar, planning organizational events and meetings. The IPD has a critical need for an Administrative Operations Specialist at the newly leased 330 Yale Site. As this is a new site for IPD and a new building lease for the UW SOM, there will be challenges in establishing the team at this site. This position will require close coordination with the leased building facilities and management teams, IPD lab management team, IPD Leadership, Department of Biochemistry and SOM leadership, and SOM facilities team. This key position ensures the smooth functioning of the Institute's day-to-day activities and support for long-term strategic endeavors (the cultivation of various professional colleagues, visitors, donors, higher university administration, commercial partners, government leaders, press interactions, etc.). This position will work independently at 330 Yale with minimal oversight, with delegated authority to perform professional level administration and management of programmatic and administrative functions. This position will be expected to make decisions or recommendations regarding key aspects of administrative or programmatic functions based on thorough research and analysis, in accordance with the University policies and IPD / program needs and priorities. - Serve as the key administrative support and reliable management partner for all aspects of the new unit's operations for leadership, faculty, trainees and staff, maintaining close cooperation and collaboration with the IPD Administration for smooth, efficient and consistent model of operations across the IPD locations and units. Independently problem solves and addresses issues and situations as they arise.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for the invited speakers and provide assistance with all arrangements, including travel, lodging, and reimbursement arrangements, honorarium payment, visits with departmental faculty host, and advertising to the IPD of the seminar presentation.
- Manage all other events and guests in coordination with their UW offices, including UW Advancement, to handle logistics and preparations and dissemination of relevant materials.
- Coordinate arrangements and itineraries for postdoctoral fellow candidates, visiting professors, and other guests.
- Manage associated budgets and expenses.
- Independently manage 330 Yale space and desk assignments.
