Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years).
- Previous leadership role, such as charge nurse or lead capacity, where you were responsible for interim reporting, issue resolution, setting direction, and having accountability for patient and staff results.

Overview
- This position is systemwide and located in multiple Mercyhealth locations with the home office in our Janesville, WI administration.
- Candidates must be current students in an accredited Master's program in Health Administration, with an anticipation to finish coursework by spring of 2026.
- Applications are being accepted now for the June 2026 fellowship program.
The Administrative Fellow performs leadership projects as directed and pursues projects in areas of interest. Project areas may include: hospital or clinic operations, finance, program development, strategic planning, population health/ACO operations, supply chain, marketing, market analysis, facilities and space planning, information systems and/or human resources. Serves as project leader or coordinator on assigned projects and committees. Contributes as an integral member of the Executive Team and attends all meetings and Executive Council. Must be able to travel between various Mercyhealth locations. This position may be exposed to very tight deadlines which could involve extended hours and urgent requests associated with accomplishing special assignments. Performs other duties as assigned.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Organizes the administrative materials for Executive Meetings and maintains accurate records of the proceedings e.g. Executive Council
- Upholds the confidential work environment of an Administrative Fellow with tact, confidentiality and discretion to be exercised at all times
- Pursues projects of interest and performs special projects as assigned
- Participates on various committees and attends required meetings as appropriate
- Builds strong, working relationships with Mercyhealth partners, leaders, and the Executive Team
- Provides support to Mercyhealth Leaders as designated to enhance system performance
- Serves as an ambassador for the Mercyhealth Administrative Fellowship, recruits the next cohort of high-quality candidates, and provides adequate training for the next cohort of Administrative Fellows

Education and Experience
Recent graduate of an accredited (CAHME preferred) master's level program in Health Administration or currently enrolled in an accredited (CAHME preferred) Master's Level Program in Health Administration that requires an Administrative Fellowship to complete graduation. In addition, candidates may be recent graduates of other accredited master's level programs such as MBA, MPA, or MPH. Coursework must be completed prior to the start of the fellowship.
Relevant work experience in a hospital, health system, or other pertinent health care setting is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Able to respond to needs of the Executive Team in an appropriate and timely manner. Must be able to manage multiple projects across various settings and be self-directed in their work.
Must be able to effectively listen and communicate with others both verbally and in written form.

This position is responsible for following, researching and interpreting Wisconsin State statute 767 , as well as creating and maintaining all Walworth County court files, exhibits, and court records.
SUPERVISION
This position acts as a lead worker to the departments Administrative Clerk and Student Worker positions.
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of judicial, professional, administrative, and support personnel.
Interact with the public, in person and over the phone and respond to public inquiries in a tactful and courteous manner while providing quality customer service. Assist colleagues whenever necessary.
Access, enter, and retrieve data ensuring accuracy and validity of information on specialized Circuit Court Automation Project (CCAP).
Monitor deadlines and arrange and maintain court calendars.
Assist with the scheduling of interpreters for court proceedings.
Open and close cases, process change of venues and schedule interpreters.
Perform administrative duties such as organizing case files, managing logistics, etc.
Access, photocopy and receipt money for files for judges, court staff, general public and attorneys.
Organize exhibits, documents and appendices.
Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders.
Review various court documents to determine if they are confidential pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes and sealing those documents if warranted.
Receive, distribute, and process mail.
Processing of appeals for actions affecting the family.
Testify in court proceedings when necessary.
Relieve and/or back up Calendar Clerks and other Deputy Clerks of Court.
Review paperwork received from parties ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Schedule and clerk cases specifically assigned to out-of-county judges.
Back up all courts when necessary.
Customer service responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: responding to customer inquiries both in person and on the phone regarding court processes and managing court records.
Conduct professional daily contact with judges/commissioners, office staff, police officers, attorneys, probation officers, other state and county agencies to assist with record dissemination and responding to their requests for documents or other information.
Independently perform varied duties of court work utilizing CCAP, Word, Excel, and any other related computer systems.
Process e-filing and scan documents; check and review all documents for proper document type and security classification and ensure all pages are scanned/e-filed properly and are legible.
Prepare and review all legal documents for completeness, adequacy, accuracy and compliance with statutes and rules; determine processing required and take necessary action in accordance with state statutes, court rules, and procedures.
Comply with all local, state, and federal statutes and local court rules.
Issue/generate notices, summons correspondence, court calendars, orders, and similar documents; review for accuracy and completeness, obtain required signatures, affix court seal, and authenticate documents.
Determine proper routing of all documents through e-filing.
Issue and quash warrants, prepare bail bonds, suspend and reinstate drivers licenses consistent with established procedures.
Cross train on procedures used in other areas/divisions and serve as back up as assigned.
Demonstrate a commitment to county safety and risk management efforts.
