Pivot Onsite Innovations is now hiring an experienced and passionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a PRN position (as-needed) at our on-site healthcare clinic located at our client's site in Forest City, IA. Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Medical Director and Overseeing Physician, the Nurse Practitioner manages the day-to-day operations of the onsite health care clinic. In addition, the Nurse Practitioner provides patient care that includes, but not limited to, case management, physicals and clearance exams, injury assessment, and minor procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform post-offer physicals and non-work-related/return-to-work medical clearance examinations
• Provide urgent and episodic care to employees
• Respond to in-plant medical emergencies and evaluate employees with acute episodic illness, referring when appropriate
• Assess, diagnose, treat, and provide ongoing medical management of workplace injuries and non-occupational conditions (episodic and urgent), including writing prescriptions and facilitating referrals in collaboration with the physician
• Drive chronic disease management process, including education and wellness physicals
• Maintenance of charts and employee incident records
• Perform minor procedures including, but not limited to, suturing, splinting, joint injection, trigger finger injection, arthrocentesis, and x-ray interpretation
• Case management of workman’s compensation claims in conjunction with the employer representative and insurance carrier
• Facilitate return-to-work and light-duty assignments for employees with work-related injuries
• Maintain current case log for workplace injuries outlining treatment plan for weekly case review
• Assure compliance with OSHA and DOT programs such as hearing conservation, blood-borne pathogen training, random drug screening, and follow-up programs
• Maintain health care unit inventory of medications and supplies
• On-call as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:

• 3+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Experience in an occupational health setting
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Current valid state licensure
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of OSHA Recordability and workers’ compensation principles (Preferred)
• Ability to communicate with all levels across the organization effectively
• Strong administrative and management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
• Familiarity with manufacturing and production facility practices
• Position may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Occupational Health and Wellness (OHAW) Department is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider Nurse Practitioner to support both clinical and administrative functions within the Office of Occupational Health and Wellness. Reporting under the guidance of a physician, the incumbent will provide comprehensive medical care and services as part of OHAW Clinical Services Program. This role is essential to the department mission and requires a dependable, highly organized professional with strong communication skills, proven problem-solving ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
**Minimum Qualifications**
**Education**
+ Bachelor degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or related field and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program such as Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
**Experience**
+ One (1) year of medical experience treating and managing adult population.
**Certification/Licensure**
+ Current American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification.

The Advanced Practice Provider Nurse Practitioner provides clinical and administrative activities at the Office of Occupational Health and Wellness. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing medical care and services under the guidance of a physician. Other responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, ordering and review of laboratory studies, and documenting patient medical data.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Performs comprehensive Department of Transportation (DOT) and non-DOT safety sensitive assessments.
+ Performs medical evaluations for Fitness for Duty, Return to Duty, Absenteeism, and periodic occupational examinations.
+ Documents and presents patient history and physical examination to supervising physician.
+ Examines patients to obtain information needed to determine fitness for duty by assessment of medical history and physical conditions.
+ Refers patients to primary care physicians, clinics, and other healthcare providers and facilities as appropriate
**OTHER FUNCTIONS**
+ Enters, records, stores, or maintains information in written or electronic form.
