The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Sales Compensation (GSC) Operations team is seeking a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst to join our operations team. As part of the GSC Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration of the Varicent ICM sales compensation system for sales incentive-eligible employees globally. Objectives for this role will include driving operational process improvements in compensation, quota management, compensation adjustments, quarterly payouts, compensation plan administration, and improving the scalability of our program tools.
This role requires working with global business owners in HR, Legal, Sales, Finance, Sales Operations, Revenue, Segmentation, Product & Technology, and our Business Intelligence team to ensure the proper plan design, calculation, delivery, and execution of sales commissions. Cross-team coordination, time management, and excellent communication skills are essential. It is key that we pay employees on time and accurately.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record for rolling up their sleeves, maintaining a high level of ownership and accountability and delivering best-in-class support to their internal and external customers.
Support the day-to-day administration of sales compensation including:
- Validates data; quantifies impact through data analysis and communicates proposed resolutions and timelines to leadership.
- Identifies operational risks and engages necessary stakeholders to frame issues and the desired end states
- Communicates effectively with technical teams on root causes of issues and business requirements.
- User acceptance testing (UAT) for process and system updates.
- Assist with the distribution of incentive compensation plans, including plan set up, quota shifts, revenue adjustments, etc.
- Ensuring all compensation methodologies, policies, procedures and governance are followed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including, HR, Tax, and Legal to ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, and procedures are maintained in production
- Support the global quarterly commission payout process including manual compensation adjustments, calculations and approval process
- Create mechanisms to help improve efficiency of processes.
- Strong Excel & SQL skills preferred.

Cloud Solutions Architect

The Cloud Solutions Architect supports the engineering, build, test, deployment, and operationalization of a next-generation, DoD on-premise cloud service for DoD. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of engineering and sustaining a VMware solution for DoD. This individual will be a key member of the Solution Architecture Team responsible for conceiving and delivering a wide variety of cloud services under a DoD program. Deep technical familiarity with VMware products, cloud services in general, and using cloud services in support of DoD missions are important.

Requirements:

  • Responsible for development of a VMware vCloud Director based Infrastructure as a Services (IaaS) solution for DoD
  • Prepares design documentation covering the compute, network, and storage infrastructure on which the vCD solution is built
  • Collaborates with other members of the Solution Architecture Team to complete integration with required core services, system security plan, and existing infrastructure
  • Supports program security team to document the solution and through assessment to achieve FedRAMP High / DoD IL-5 / IL-6 level authorization
  • Participates in high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development
  • Applies high-level business and technical principles and methods to difficult technical problems to arrive at creative engineering solutions
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
  • Performs product research, examines product trade-offs, develops presentations, coordinates vendor meetings, and develops documentation
  • Supports the building of a systems administration and operations support capability for the new vCD based solution
  • Bachelors Degree in IT or relevant field
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification
  • Experience with VMware vSphere, vRealize Operations, vCloud Director, vCloud Availability, and/or vCenter Converter (P2V migrations)
  • Expert knowledge of vSphere components such as vCSA, PSC, and ESXi
  • Expert knowledge of technologies such as vMotion, HA, DRS/SDRS, VDS, Affinity rules, storage vMotion, vSphere Replication, iSCSI, NFS, and SAN
  • A sound understanding of TCP/IP addressing and subnetting basics
  • Ability to automate tasks and procedures with scripting tools such as PowerCLI
  • Experience implementing and operating VMware NSX-V to support a multi-site vCloud Director environment
  • Knowledge and experience with DoD datacenters & infrastructure
  • At least 15+ years industry experience with at least 5 years focused on the following: Architecting, designing, engineering, integrating, deploying, and maintaining data center Infrastructure preferably within the DOD Hardware to include compute, network, & storage
  • Implementing DOD Security Controls
  • VMware System Administration experience
  • Developing documentation for architectures, designs, engineering, and operational support
  • Self-starter that drives solutions to implementation
  • Ability to mentor junior and mid-level team members to be more proficient in the tasks and activities associated with the management of a cloud provider VMware environment

Desired Skills:

  • VMware Certified Professional or Advance Professional certification
  • Ability to harden VMware environments according to DISA STIG
  • 5+ years of VMware ESXi experience; experience with ESX 6.x
  • 3+ years of experience as in a Senior VMware Solutions Engineer role providing guidance and direction for the engineering and sustainment of VMware infrastructure

  • Demonstrated experience, within the last two (2) years, setting up and maintaining an AWS- cloud based VPC.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and maintaining Windows environments in AWS.
  • Demonstrated experience, within the last six (6) months, managing MS Product Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience, within the last six (6) months, managing MS SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience, within the last six (6) months, managing MS Server 2012/2016/2019/2022.
  • Demonstrated experience, within the last six (6) months, deploying and managing log aggregation systems, such as Splunk.
  • Demonstrated experience, within the last six (6) months, maintaining system accreditation.
  • Certification(s): AWS Cloud Solutions Architect - Professional.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with knowledge of security constraints and required protections for enclave accreditation in an AWS cloud in the Sponsor's environment.
  • Demonstrated experience transitioning an on-premises enclave solution to a virtual private cloud (VPC).
  • Demonstrated experience making application software and operating system configuration changes necessary to resolve trouble tickets or to comply with Sponsor requirements and IT best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and mitigating software security vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous monitoring from a security perspective.
  • Demonstrated experience obtaining Certification and Accreditation within the Sponsor's environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's unique IT infrastructure and ongoing projects.
  • Demonstrated experience executing O&M tasks as necessary to support the Sponsor's software and hardware infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience understanding and implementing Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) with AWS.
  • Demonstrated experiencing managing Windows services and devices. This experience should be related to managing a Windows based enterprise, such as maintaining Server ISOs and related AMls, COTS updates, managing domain forests and group policy objects, user role-based authentication in active directory.
  • Demonstrated experience managing LDAP authentication with COTS applications, load balancing and gateway services related to remote desktop service deployments.
  • Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting errors utilizing Event Viewer and Splunk logging.

Cloud Solutions Architect, Clearance Required - TS/SCI w/Polygraph

The Work:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A current Top-Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience independently designing and developing cloud based applications using current best practices and architectural guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience working in software engineering, applications development or web application development and deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience with object oriented development in a modern language (Java, Go, C#).
  • Demonstrated experience developing front ends in modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Demonstrated experience developing in a Linux environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing in a commercial clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Demonstrated experience developing containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated experience working with orchestration tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.

  • Design and develop new applications to better meet the Sponsors mission design, as well as develop, and provide O&M for multiple tools.
  • Assist in developing solutions to software architecture problems and broad design solutions.
  • Manage virtual and physical servers on a virtualization platform (VMware) with Windows Server , Ubuntu, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.
  • Ensure the security of the server infrastructure by implementing industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proactive approach to anticipating, mitigating, identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.
