**What you will experience at Roper:**
Our production operators are responsible for operating various pieces of equipment in our factory to assemble our products. Operators work on assembly lines and handle parts to transfer, operate, or adjust the production equipment all while doing this in a fast-paced team environment and adhering to safety rules, regulations and equipment requirements.
**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ **You must be legally authorized to work in the United States**
+ You must have at least one full year of work experience.
+ You must be 18 years of age or older (17 if a work-based learning high school student)
+ You must pass a background check, drug screening and medical/physical screening
+ You must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:
+ Prolonged standing, frequently handling various parts for assembly, frequent walking, reaching at waist level, pushing/pulling, repetitive grasping/squeezing/pinching using both hands simultaneously.
+ Have fine motor dexterity, neck flexion, and be able to use air tools
+ Be able to reach overhead, reach at shoulder level, reach at knee and floor level
+ Bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, ladder/stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, neck extension/rotation, and using vibratory tools
+ Handling and lifting of parts and/or equipment (minimum of 25 lbs. lifting/carrying and 25 lbs. pushing/pulling)

The Process Improvement Engineer will play a key role on our cross-functional production team. In this role, you will lead root-cause problem solving, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and strengthen the Appliance Production System. + Lead structured problem-solving for production areas, including root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
+ Partner with Quality, Operations, and Lean teams to improve efficiency, yield, scrap, and quality metrics.
+ Support test system reliability by reducing false failures, improving detection methods, and monitoring product conformity.
+ Collaborate with Team Leaders, Kaizen Promotion Officers, and Manufacturing Engineers to implement both short-term fixes and long-term improvements.
+ Serve as a troubleshooting and technical resource for production and test processes, coordinating with maintenance and engineering partners.
+ Drive projects that enhance **Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)** , minimize downtime, and optimize preventative maintenance.
+ Recommend tooling and equipment upgrades while ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance standards.
+ Support new model introductions (NPI) and customer-focused improvements to ensure scalability, efficiency, and outgoing product quality.
+ Lead and share **continuous improvement best practices** to build a culture of problem-solving and innovation.

**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree (or actively pursuing) in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
+ Strong **problem-solving and analytical skills** with the ability to scope issues and implement effective solutions.
