Our Assemblers are an integral piece of our work on a daily basis. Some of your daily functions will include:
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
- Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates and reading measurements.
- Completion of production and quality forms.
If you have at least 1 years' experience is a mechanical assembly environment, possess a High School Diploma or GED and ability to read blueprints and schematics, we want to talk to you!

Job Description
SUMMARY:
Assembles parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a workstation, multiple workstations or other assigned location. Utilizes hand tools, small power tools and other specialized equipment to perform assigned job. Reassembles or reworks units as required. Does basic preventative maintenance on assembly equipment. May be required to move materials using hand trucks.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Ability to read from blueprints and other types of drawings, as well as detailed written work instructions, to use as guidance for proper assembly of products and products parts.
- Place fully assembled items in boxes and bins after they come off the assembly line, then sort these items into their designated locations.
- Monitor the assembly line and related machinery for proper functionality.
- Perform set-up and operations, such as, burnish, drilling, press assembly, paint, manual assembly, wash parts, wash tanks start-up procedures, magnetize, encapsulation, wire termination, electrical checks, and soldering.
- Assemble components and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies using hand tools and power tools, including air guns.
- Perform quality checks, inspect visually and test finished units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer orders requirement and complete and maintain proper production records.
- Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer, calipers and verniers.
- Pull and load components slated for assembly onto the line and load fully assembled, boxed products into their designated locations.
- Adheres to all safety rules protocols.
- Apply, recommend, and follow Lean practices
Critical Competencies:
- Reading Comprehension: understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Mathematics: have a basic grasp of mathematics and know how to read measuring devices to perform required assembly and inspection duties.
- Attention to detail: ability to spot small defects and potential problems in products.
Education and Experience Requirements :
- High School education or equivalent, preferred.
- Up to 3 months of assembly experience preferred, but not required.

Assemble remote switching equipment according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

An assembly technician will be responsible for but not limited to matching production orders with pre-kitting contact kits. Properly locate and verify part numbers and date codes on the connectors and labels provided. Interpret and locate the proper contacts, sealing plugs according to production orders. Complete orders by date code as assigned.
What You'll Do
- Match production order in connector tray with the pre-kitting contact kits from holding shelves
- Identify the cap part number and correctly install connector caps
- Interpret and locate proper contact, sealing plug and tool using identification chart to identify parts on production order
- Effectively navigate and use label making system use auto bagging machine, choose the correct left, or right bagger being used in label making program, clear the lot count and add or decrease air as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Warehouse experience is a plus
- Handling small materials or components
- Must be able to communicate in verbal and written form

Make recommendations to engineering department regarding modification of assembly processes.Support company initiatives including ISO 9000 and Statistical Process Control (SPC) ensuring continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and products. Assist in guiding, directing, and training employees in various assembly operations as needed or directed. Remain flexible and willing to work in various work cells depending on company need. Report unusual circumstances or conditions to supervisor as required. General soldering experience (IPC J-STD-001) required. Soldering cert doesn't need to be active, but they must have the experience. We will certify them.
