**Job Summary**
This position supports HMA's Sr. Manager, Risk Management & Compliance and Executive Director, Risk Management, Compliance & Privacy with the investigation, monitoring and resolution of company car accidents, usage and claims.
**Responsibilities**
**1. Company Car Accidents**
- Investigate, prepare documentation and files, monitor and resolve company car usage issues, damages, accidents and claims, working with drivers, Vehicle Administration, regional offices, affiliates and insurance personnel.
- Identify and monitor moderate to high exposure losses, as well as authorized drivers with poor loss history. Recommend and advise Vehicle Administration when suspension or removal from the VLP is appropriate.
- Establish strong communications with the at-fault carrier and body shops to negotiate and settle claims. Negotiate repair estimates, as well as liability with adverse parties and insurers.
- Coordinate with Finance and salvage companies for vehicle disposal.
- Access insurance computer systems and body shop information in order to review and update company car accident database and working files.
- Draft subrogation letters to insurance carriers and/or at-fault parties as appropriate. Negotiate payment amounts and terms.
- Maintain files in accordance with record retention and litigation requirements.
- Represent and defend HMA and affiliate VLP participant drivers in small claims court matters, including all court filings and witness preparation.
- Collect on new and delinquent accounts from adverse parties or insurance carriers. Run investigations on adverse parties to determine whether we should pursue a lawsuit against them and/or suspend their driver's license.
- Assist outside counsel in providing answers to interrogatories and providing documents in the production of documents during discovery for auto liability litigation.
**2. Licensing/Annual Reports**
- Ensure assigned state Distributor licenses, Distributor Branch licenses and Distributor representative filings, applications, renewals and supporting documentation are accurately and timely submitted in accordance with state regulations.
- Maintain updated online records on Team Connect for all assigned state renewals.
- Review and submit payment for all annual reports filed by the third party vendor.
- Maintain document calendar to ensure the timely filing of all renewals and reports and update licensing budget information.
**3. Insurance**
- Collect and review all information pertaining to Special Event Insurance requests and ensure that the requirements for Special Event Insurance are met and submitted to the insurance carrier. Once confirmed the insurance is in place, provide proof of coverage and notify the requestor of the rules of the AOM and their responsibilities.
- Assist with annual casualty insurance renewal marketing and broker competitions.
- Draft proof of insurance letters for current and former employees, as well as for those taking driving tests or those needing the letter for their personal residential parking permit.
**Qualifications**
- Education: Must be a high school graduate and Bachelor's degree required
- 4-5 years of claims or risk management experience
- Small claims Court experience desired
- Knowledge of state licensing desired
- Legal research experience
- Comfortable with training employees of all levels
- MS Office, with emphasis on Access, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- SAP for check requests preferred
- Must be efficient, accurate, deadline-driven, and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with insurer claims databases.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
- I-CAR certified a plus
- Paralegal certification a plus

The Difference You Make:
The Senior Associate, Technology Risk Management within the Technology and Information Risk Management organization reports to the Senior Director - Technology Risk Management and is responsible for ongoing oversight, assessment, management and reporting of technology and cybersecurity risks across all operating entities. This role is established in the second line of defense and requires collaboration across IT, CISO, Data Office, Operational Risk, Internal Audit and other relevant functional stakeholders within the organization in the management of Technology risks. An excellent understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape in the US and EU are vital for success in this role.
The day-to-day focus may vary depending on the requirements of the overall second line of defense program priorities directed by the Head of Technology Risk and may include: planned or ad-hoc technical risk reviews, technical review of IT and Security architectures, review and challenge activities of IT or Business initiatives, Risk reporting, development as well as review and challenge of technical risk framework and methodologies.
Essential Functions:
- Establish themselves as the second line of defense subject matter expert on technology risk management
- Identify and assess technology risks ensure awareness and accountability for their management
- Design and execute independent testing and assurance of technical domains
- Participate in the independent and ongoing risk oversight of key technology components of the firm’s business and strategy initiatives.
- Participate in evaluation of new products / Business changes / projects and assess related technology risks and impact to the technology risk profile
- Participate in the evaluation and management of risks related to third-party suppliers involved in technology projects
- Perform review and challenge of first line of defense risk management processes, data and outcomes (e.g. risk assessments, control evaluations, risk metrics, mitigation plans, risk acceptances etc.)
- Analyze IT risk data from various sources (e.g. external events, control deficiencies, risk register etc.) to identify and measure levels of risk, concentration, trends and patterns, drive automation, risk analytics & aggregation and risk visualization
- Support process for constructive engagement across the Lines of Defense regarding risk appetite, risk metric determination or evaluation, issue management and action plans
- Advises on remediation of regulatory findings, correction of any inconsistencies and monitors resolution
- Prepare information to enable governance committees / working groups in the management oversight of technology risks
- Initiate timely escalations to the Technology Risk leadership team
- Work across the lines of defense to recommend strategies that effectively treat risks within the risk appetite

- Perform review and challenge of first line of defense risk management processes, data and outcomes (e.g. risk assessments, control evaluations, risk metrics, mitigation plans, risk acceptances etc.)
- Analyze IT risk data from various sources (e.g. external events, control deficiencies, risk register etc.) to identify and measure levels of risk, concentration, trends and patterns, drive automation, risk analytics & aggregation and risk visualization

The Difference You Make:
The Associate, Treasury executes on and improves on the day-to-day operations in Asset-Liability Management and Liquidity Risk Management. They will be responsible for the analysis and execution of daily key risk indicator reporting for Santander US, including real-time market and business analysis. The associate will also be responsible for defining indicators and setting thresholds to capture Santander US’s unique liquidity risk profile, working closely with the Head of Liquidity Risk Management.
•Day-to-day execution of liquidity risk monitoring reporting including updated analysis and production daily key risk indicators for Santander US.
•Validate the accuracy of internal reporting of financial and operational data, including continuous process improvements.
•Perform variance and forecasting analysis of key financial data.
•Analyze and recalibrate key risk indicators and limits using historical and industry data.
•Monitor adherence to established standards and risk limits.
•Contribute to a strong internal control environment.
•Ensures treasury policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed.
•Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent field. - Required.
5+ Years Banking/Financial Industry - Required.
5+ Years Experience in Asset-Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Cash Management, Capital Management, Capital Allocation - Preferred.
5+ Years Recovery & Resolution, Interest-Rate Risk Management, Funds Transfer Pricing - Preferred.
5+ Years Investment Portfolio Management, Balance-Sheet Management, Debt Capital Markets - Preferred.
• Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in interacting with internal stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to research, organize and analyze financial data.
• Advanced in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, QRM, MS Outlook.
