The role of an Aviation Engineer is to lead various airport engineering and planning projects at both commercial service and general aviation airports. Your Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical specialist and consultant to the transportation engineering discipline on aviation related projects.
- Prepare reports, develop project design elements including plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project's purpose and need.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Practice Leaders in other Business Lines.
- Peer review plans and provide quality control reviews of technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
- Mentor junior staff in technical design elements and the development of project documents.
- Recent experience developing aviation projects for the State of Alaska is desired.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Thorough knowledge and application of FAA design standards and specifications
- Proficient in design of aviation/civil engineering projects including alignments, profiles, typical sections, site grading and drainage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- MS Office program experience, especially Word and Excel
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or higher Degree in Civil Engineering
- Civil PE License in Alaska is required.
- 7+ years of professional experience in the field of civil engineering
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

We are looking for an experienced, **Full-time,** **Air Traffic Control Instructor** to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the **Anchorage TRACON (A11),** located in **Anchorage, AK** **,** supporting air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The successful candidate for this position must demonstrate strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures. This position may provide mentoring for students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO), and may participate in curriculum design and development. The selected candidate must demonstrate the knowledge and skills applicable for obtaining radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA air traffic control facilities within the U.S. National Airspace System.
The CTS Instructor is a hands-on position that requires the candidate to effectively and consistently deliver the highest quality classroom and/or simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and Certified Professional Controllers (CPC).
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.
To provide such air traffic services, the FAA trains new air traffic control specialists and provides recurrent training to current air traffic control specialists. The FAA utilizes Contractor-provided instructional services at FAA ATC facilities throughout the U.S. and its Territories to ensure these training needs are met. The scope of the contractor-provided services includes all training and training program support to successfully train and prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers. SAIC must provide training and training related support services as required for all types and levels of ATC facilities.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
**US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.**
The CTS Instructor candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic, or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility. Experience must have been at the same type and same (or greater) level of ATC facility as the **Anchorage TRACON (A11)** **.**
**Desired Skills and Experience:**
+ Direct experience as a Certified Professional Controller (CPC) at the **Anchorage TRACON (A11)** is preferred but not required.
+ Operational Experience with ATC simulators including scenario design for simulation platforms (e.g. TSS, AT Coach, SGET, etc.).
+ Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels to ensure the delivery of training services meet the needs of the local facility, as well as the FAA's overall Air Traffic Control mission is highly desired.

This role handles varying responsibilities as Aircraft Cleaner and Lavatory and Water Agent. In the role of Aircraft Cleaner you will clean the interior of the aircraft. **Responsibilities**
+ Deicing Specialists at Pegasus Aviation Services are responsible for operation of equipment for the removal of winter contaminants, such as Ice and Snow, from aircraft critical surfaces prior to a flight taking off.
+ This position requires an in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, Technics and Procedures in all areas of aircraft Deicing.
+ A Deicing Specialist must be able to operate all the equipment in our fleet to include dual and single operator trucks.
+ The deicing specialist will be required to maintain the serviceability of the deicing equipment, including supporting GSE and Quality departments by performing the Preseason, Mid-season, and End of Season deicing truck inspections, as well as deicing fluid tests required by the deicing program.
+ Daily equipment inspections will be the responsibility of the Deicing Specialist for the deicer fleet during the winter season.
+ Deicers will be responsible for accurately completing deliver logs and work orders used for the tracking and billing of deicing services provided by Pegasus to our customers.
+ As fully qualified Operators of Deicing Equipment, the Deicing Specialist may be authorized and assigned to help perform training on the deicing equipment and to train to a level of acceptable capability with the deicing equipment during new or recurrent OJT training periods.
+ Deicing Specialist may be responsible for operating the deicing fluid fill and storage station used to supply the deice trucks with fluids. Deicing Specialist may be responsible for ensure the proper acceptance, mixing and distribution of fluids from the deice facility.
+ During down times with no deicing, the Deicing Specialist may be assigned other duties within Ramp Operations for which they are qualified to work.
+ Deicing Specialists may be required to work independently, with little supervision during their shifts.
**Qualifications**
+ Must Possess a valid Driver's License.
+ Be at least 18 years of age.
+ Must be willing to work in inclement weather.
+ Must be comfortable with heights up to 40'
