The role of Senior Mechanical Engineering is to guide our Mechanical team and manage the design and delivery of small to large projects and to develop and maintain relations with current and future clients within our business line. - Engage a team and lead the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.

- Day-to-day team oversight and communication with the client and project team.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong understanding of the Science and Technology and Mechanical Discipline within the US Northeast and beyond.

- Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of the mechanical and/or plumbing codes, energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and other building codes.

Education and Experience
10+ years of related experience (Consulting preferred) relevant working experience in designing Mechanical and HVAC systems, with a minimum 5 years of project management experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
PMP certification, is desirable.
Broad general knowledge of various buildings designs, including a strong familiarity with multiple disciplines including, Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Engineering as well as Architecture and Interior Design

Our Buildings team is looking for a Project Mechanical Engineer with a focus in HVAC design. You will work with direct supervision and general direction on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member of larger projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Designer. You will assist in evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering certain Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) building systems for a project verifying compliance with applicable codes and internal engineering standards / practices. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include Revit modeling, preparing design drawings, performing system calculations, ductwork design, piping design, specifying equipment, field survey work, and construction administration.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work with a team of design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects for multiple types of facilities such as: healthcare, industrial, commercial offices, higher education, research laboratories or similar applications.
- Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer mechanical HVAC systems for a project.
- Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies in development of three-dimensional models of building's mechanical systems.
- Prepare and revise documentation in various mechanical phases including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.

Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design efforts for machined parts and brazed assemblies using CAD tools.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to develop efficient designs compliant with standards.
- Define and develop joint designs for high-temperature brazing

Our Buildings team has an opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. Your role as a contributor on our professional consulting team is to work on projects of high complexity and serve as a leader of a team or project through all phases of a project lifecycle. The Electrical Team Lead role is to serve as the overall technical lead on projects of various sizes and complexities, with the support of a team of electrical engineers and designers.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leads work on multiple projects with a team of design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects for multiple types of facilities such as healthcare, commercial offices, higher education, research laboratory, and industrial facilities.
- Provides supervision to staff of all levels to develop staff skills and abilities by providing guidance and mentor to strengthen technical abilities and develop career goals.
- Leads in client meetings on projects to establish design criteria, review design progress as well as supporting through construction administration.
- Leads in evaluation, selection, and engineering of all electrical engineered systems and products for a project.
- Leads the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
- Leads in the development of a design through sketches, engineering calculations, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
- Prepares and reviews documentation in various project phases including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
- Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
- Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers.
- Leads in the development of new standards and specifications for the electrical engineering group, along with a team of other electrical engineers.
- Performs field work (or reviews field work performed by others) to review existing facility conditions for use in development of site-specific electrical design documents and to review work being performed by contractors.
- Applies technical expertise while leading cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established timeframes and budget.
- Provides client consultation, drawing on professional expertise and knowledge of Stantec's services.
- Nurtures existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business by supporting new project proposals by developing scope, design budgets and design approach.
- Acts as a resource for staff to all levels in any area of technical expertise and works with staff to train them on applicable knowledge of electrical / building codes, field work, and the processes associated with designing electrical systems.
- Maintains current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthen skills.

- Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.

Education and Experience
Bachelors' degree or equivalent in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with a lighting/electrical emphasis required.
Minimum 15 years in related professional experience preferred.
Professional Engineering license required.
LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution with 2 years experience or Master's degree and no experience.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $29,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. **Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
