**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Provide a complete continuum of quality care through close communication with members via in-person or on-phone interaction
+ Support members with condition education, medication reviews, and connections to resources such as Provider Services, Private Duty Nursing, DME, and supplies
+ Assist members with the transition from a care facility back to their home
+ This role involves approximately 75% travel, and you'll need to be comfortable dealing with a full range of in-home and facility-based environments
+ Most of the time you'll work autonomously, so the ability to stay focused and motivated is essential
+ This function is for UHC C&S Only (with the exception of the Community Health Worker role)
+ Positions in this function address efforts focused on medical, behavioral, and social determinants of health factors that improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities
+ Generally, work is self-directed and not prescribed
+ Works with less structured, more complex issues
+ Serves as a resource to others

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Associate's Degree (or higher)
+ Current, unrestricted RN TX license
+ 3+ years of clinical experience in a hospital, acute care, home health/hospice, direct care, or case management
+ Intermediate level of computer/typing proficiency to enter/retrieve data in electronic clinical records; experience with email, internet research, use of online calendars and other software applications
+ Access to reliable transportation & a valid US driver's license
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Case management experience including Certification in Case Management
+ Experience working with the needs of vulnerable populations who have chronic or complex bio-psychosocial needs
+ Experience in Home & Community based or Long-Term Care services delivery
+ Home care/field-based case management
+ Bilingual skills
+ Reside in or within commutable driving distance to Belton, Harker Heights, Killeen, Westcliff or Woodland, TX

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Associate of Applied Science Degree from an accredited school of Respiratory Care.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist License with the Texas Medical Board and the National Board of Respiratory Care.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
ACLS certification.
- Current PALS and NRP certifications within 6 months of employment.

The role you'll contribute:
The Medical Staff Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of the medical staff office at AdventHealth Central Texas. This includes the efficient processing of physician applications for appointment, reappointment and additional privileges, providing accurate information to medical staff leadership with which to assess competency and grant privileges. The Medical Staff Manager is responsible for overseeing the timeliness of obtaining the practitioners' licensure, insurance and other items that expire on a regular basis, maintaining accurate credential files, and compliance with regulatory agencies including Joint Commission. The Medical Staff Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining the hospital-wide call schedule. The Medical Staff Manager is thoroughly familiar with Joint Commission standards pertaining to Medical Staff, as well as the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules & Regulations to provide guidance with physician issues. The Medical Staff Manager is responsible for the accurate maintenance of the credentialing data base.

- The Medical Staff Manager researches credentialing, privileging, Bylaws and Rules & Regulations issues to assure only those practitioners who are clinically competent are presented to the Credentials and Medical Executive Committees for approval.
- Coordinates the appointment, reappointment and privileging process for assigned hospital(s). Provides monthly update of credentialing actions to leadership following approval by the Board of Directors.
- Assures physician and mid-level practitioner privileges are posted accurately for access by physicians, administration and hospital staff.
- The Medical Staff Manager serves as liaison between the hospital and medical staff, providing service and information regarding their privileges and administrative needs, in a professional and courteous manner. Performs administrative duties as delegated by the chief of staff, medical staff officers and committee chairs, chief of surgery and chief of medicine.
- Serves as liaison, as appropriate, between medical staff officers and the medical staff by gathering information and researching issues, minimizing the amount of time officers spend on issues that can be handled at the medical staff office level.
- The Medical Staff Manager is responsible for the preparation and recording for meetings of the medical staff leadership at assigned hospital(s) and follows through assuring business is completed in a timely fashion. Prepares agendas and accompanying documentation for each of the Credentials, Medical Executive, General Staff and Bylaws Committee meetings. Follows-up with appropriate Medical Staff/hospital personnel regarding action items. Records minutes of meeting.
- Prepares reports on a timely basis when requested, i.e., Board of Directors bi-monthly report, and Quality & Safety Board bi-monthly report.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of the contents of the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations. Serves as a resource person to the Medical Staff and hospital personnel on issues pertaining to the Bylaws.
- Collects and verifies information required when physicians request additional privileges within approved criteria. Documents competency to assure criteria are met. When no criteria exists, information sources are queried (professional web sites, other hospitals, etc.), and draft criteria is formulated and presented to the appropriate Medical Staff leader
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications :
Bachelor's in business or health care or 4 years of medical staff credentialing experience
2 Supervisory experience including experience in training staff, hospital credentialing , and Medical Staff Office functions.
Preferred qualifications:
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM)
