As a Health Services Supervisor at Universal Studios Hollywood, you will be an integral part of the team dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of our guests, team members and vendor partners. Your role, alongside the other team supervisor and manager, is to lead our team of nurses, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics. They are responsible for delivering exceptional guest service through compassionate and prompt first aid care to our guests, as well as preventive and post-injury occupational health care to our team members. You will also be involved in supporting occupational health initiatives and collaborating with various departments to maintain a safe work environment and drive continuous process improvement for delivery of health services to the guests and Team Members at Universal Studios Hollywood. As the Supervisor, you will also play a key role in emergency situations, responding to and supporting your team in the field and collaborating with other internal and external business partners in incident response coordination and recovery after emergency incidents.
Responsibilities:
+ Team Leadership: Provide leadership and support to a team of medical professionals who deliver prompt and effective first aid and medical care to guests and team members of the theme park and entertainment complex.
+ Support Occupational Health Services: Assist EHS in the implementation and management of occupational health programs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
+ Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with Park Operations, Security, Human Resources, and a variety of other departments to ensure seamless health services integration.
+ Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response activities, coordinating with business partners and external agency response organizations following established protocols.
+ Record-Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records, incident reports, and other documentation. Track and report health services statistics to management using management systems and tools for record-keeping and reporting. Conduct regular reviews of records for accuracy, identify gaps, and develop and implement processes for continuous improvement.
+ Training and Development: Assist in developing and delivering training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in health services.
+ Policy & Procedure Development: Assist with developing, implementing, and reviewing protocols, SOPs, and health policies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Stay updated on regulatory changes and translate them into practical updates to department operations.
+ Technology & Systems Support: Train team members on health-related software and platforms used for case management, reporting, and scheduling. Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enhance service delivery.
+ Guest and Team Member Support: Address and resolve health-related or operational concerns from guests and team members, providing excellent internal and external guest service and support.
+ Safety and Compliance: Ensure all health services' operations comply with safety standards and regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. Participate in the safety committee.
+ Budget Management: Support the creation and management of labor and non-labor budgets for the health services department. Partner with the Labor Support team on scheduling and payroll processes.
+ Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide feedback and corrective actions as needed.
+ Teamwork and Collaboration: Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the Health Services Team and with business partners across the organization. Encourage open communication and cooperation to achieve common goals.
Qualifications/Certifications:
+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a health services or medical role, preferably in a team leadership or operations management capacity.
+ Current certification in first aid, CPR, AED.
+ Additional certifications such as RN, LVN, Paramedic, or EMT are preferred.

The Resident Health Services Director is responsible for evaluating residents’ needs and assisting residents in navigating the available services that create the bridge between residential and assisted living and nursing care. This person is responsible for the programming designed to meet these needs and to develop future programs to help meet the wellness needs of the residents (including but not limited to intellectual, occupational, social, environmental, spiritual, emotional, nutritional and physical).
This is a full time, onsite, position located in Woodland Hills, California.
Compensation: $5,000 to 103,000 (DOE) plus 15% annual bonus potential
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Provide nursing evaluation of the residents, coordinate additional care, and communicate with medical personnel and family members, and follow-up after the emergency.
- Coordinate the resident’s return including transportation, medications and a light meal upon return. Update plan of care
- Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
- Facilitate with other leaders in the continuum of care to identify and recommend additional services or a physical move within the continuum of care for residents whose needs have changed.
- Anticipate and coordinate with the resident and family members when a significant change in the resident’s condition necessitates additional support services or a physical transfer to a higher level of care for residents whose needs have significantly changed.
- Assist residents and family members by offering support in dealing emotionally with the aging process and illnesses.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of medication technicians and LVN staff to ensure standards are being met for delivery of these services to the community residents. Manage clinic services to include but not limited to pre-admission health screening for residents
- Support for the management of chronic conditions, coordination of clinical visits by other professionals, and assistance with medications and ADLs.
- Responsible for the interviewing, selection, training, supervision and performance management of all residential health services staff.
- Responsible for ensuring all staff training is conducted, completed and documentation of training is maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse License in good standing with the LVN Board of Nursing.

Position Summary
Under direction, the Mental Health Services Administrative Coordinator will perform a variety of duties in support of the Mental Health Services Program, including coordination and monitoring of referrals and intakes, clinical data and reports management, outcome measures collection and reporting, psychiatric appointment coordination (including translation), and other administrative duties, as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive client intake referrals. Complete intake referrals (in phone or in person); verify insurance; provide admission letter; set up clients in various systems (Exym, IBHIS, SRTS) and logs for monitoring and tracking client referral status. Document and track case assignments.
- Responsible for reports including: Payer Financial reports, Medi-Cal Eligibility reports, High Client Utilizer reports, Client Status Referral reports for partner institutions and agencies, Outcome Measures reports for clinicians, the DMH Intake Status Report, the SPA 5 Access Tracker Log, and other reports as requested for specific program analysis. Collect geographical and/or client data reports as needed and administer Department of Mental Health (DMH) surveys. Gather, consolidate and report the Department of Mental Health Outcome Measures for the individual evidence-based practices utilized by the clinical team.
- Ensure confidential client records are organized, stored, and made available in compliance with HIPAA standards. Use electronic health record system to open new cases, complete funding source requests, and create client files, ensuring all required paperwork is included. Create client charts with most up-to-date DMH documents/assessments. File insurance eligibility slips, outcome measures, Payor Financial Forms, New Cases, and all other client related paperwork on a regular basis.
- Provide administrative and clerical support. Attend weekly team meeting, monthly Quality Assurance meeting, SAAC meetings, trainings and interdisciplinary staff meetings as requested by supervisor. Draft letters, emails, and other correspondence. Act as administrative backup for the Program Administrator by submitting weekly billing and assisting with other administrative duties.
- Coordinate the Psychiatrist’s weekly appointments. Confirm and reschedule appointments and act as the liaison between the psychiatrist, clinical staff, pharmacies and clients.
- Act as Mental Health Services’ primary contact for program information. Provide information regarding program and services in-person and over the telephone to staff, parents and consumers.
Other Duties
- Comply with ECF’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment.
- Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field.
Experience: One year working with an electronic health record system, handling confidential client records, and providing case management or case coordination services.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

Responsibilities include designated first-line supervisory authority, responsibility, and accountability for the 24/7 operations of the unit, ensuring that subordinate personnel provide timely nursing care which complies with generally accepted standards of clinical practice. This includes the authority to accept, amend, or reject the work of subordinates. Upon achievement of a State license, the individual may be appointed on temporary basis and later converted to a permanent appointment upon successful completion and graduation from the bridge program. Summary: Under the general supervision of the Sr. Clinical Director, will outreach, assess and engage members for FSP services. Assist individuals in finding and accessing requested services through the application of intensive case management services. Assist members in transitioning to appropriate levels of care or services as needed on the bases on psychosocial rehabilitation model of treatment and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : This is not an exhaustive task list, and other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate or necessary by the supervisor or program director. - Provides direct services to program members experiencing mental health barriers, supporting them in achieving their recovery goals in areas such as mental wellness, physical wellbeing, housing, employment, education, social support, etc. Services are provided in the community, from program office, and/or remotely.
- Provide targeted case management to connect members with needed resources, including but not limited to housing, employment, education, legal services, food, benefits, etc.
- Provide individual rehabilitation services in support of skill development including positive coping strategies and independent living skills such as money management, hygiene, meal preparation, and transportation.
- Provide group services as needed to facilitate member development of coping and independent living skills.
- Assesses members’ needs and facilitates creation of a Recovery Plan to guide services.
- Visit members in their place of residence, hospital or jail on an as-needed basis, in order to help them live successfully and to prevent them from becoming homeless
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team in coordinating services for members.
- Document services in agency’s Electronic Health Record, following L.A. County Department of Mental Health and MHALA policies. Complete paperwork as assigned, including data entry for admissions, discharge, Recovery Plans (Client Treatment Plans), financial eligibility inquiries, etc.
- Must meet billing quota of member services as assigned by supervisor. Responsible for entering outcomes into Electronic Health Record per program funder requirements.
- Participates in staff and community meetings and in the day-to day operations of the program as needed.
- Maintain understating of HIPAA regulations and complies with these regulations when working with members
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of community resources and able to navigate these systems.
- Knowledgeable in the practice of motivational interviewing and harm reduction
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor degree in a human service or related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience providing psychosocial rehab related services to a disabled population
- Driving with current class C driver’s license, a vehicle for transportation, proof of valid automobile insurance, the ability to be insured by MHALA liability insurance are conditions of employment
- Ability to provide a welcoming environment and skill in engaging new members
- Must possess a high level of empathy, patience and understanding for individuals who present for services with urgent multiple needs. Must be able to think creatively about how best to support individuals overcome mental health barriers and achieve quality of life.
- Must have good basic English writing skills, good basic computer skills and be highly organized. Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to have the ability to juggle multiple tasks without losing productivity
- Must function well in a team-oriented approach to member services
- Knowledgeable in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- TB clearance and re-testing every year are conditions of continued employment
- Flexible work schedule to include some evenings or weekends, and on call cell phone services when necessary
