The GRP (Graduate Researcher Program) is a unique 10-12 week internship program designed specifically for students pursuing their PhD. GRP is a hybrid experience of real-world industry work experience combined with development programming that exposes students to Boeing, its products, services and its people. GRP focuses on deeply connecting students to their team and Boeing through work experience across multiple summers with the goal of ultimately offering a full-time position at the conclusion of academic studies if a mutual fit is achieved.
**How GRP Works** :
GRP host teams post opportunities aligned with Boeing needs in hopes of matching to top PhD talent. Upon application and selection, successful applicants receive an offer to spend the following summer with the host team. The program aims to provide interns with a valuable opportunity to gain deeper experience at Boeing with their host team, while applying academic skills and expertise to help solve real-world industry challenges and opportunities.
In addition to industry work exposure, students will attend GRP programming to further broaden their experience and knowledge of Boeing. **2026 GRP Position** :
The Boeing AI organization provides innovative AI technologies that enable the development of future aerospace solutions while improving the cycle time, cost, quality, performance, and safety of Boeing products and services.
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Student Researcher in Artificial Intelligence Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in: Programming, Data understanding and processing, Machine learning development, Algorithm development, and Software/neural networks verification and validation.
The selected candidate will be embedded in a project team to develop and prototype robust automation and perception systems for aerospace products and services. The candidate should be comfortable taking initiative, learning through experience, and seeking feedback from others. An interest in personal learning and the ability to create innovative ideas are essential.

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):**
+ Completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2026
+ Pursing a PhD in AI/ML research or application
+ Experience in developing and deploying software programs
+ Experience in developing and evaluating learned models, including data prep
+ Experience with scripting languages for prototyping such as Python, MATLAB, and R
+ Experience with programming languages such as C++, C, and Java
+ Experience with software/neural networks analysis, testing, simulation, verification and validation
+ Experience with agile methodology and repositories, such as JIRA and Git
+ Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2026
+ Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026
