**What is Graduate Researcher Program?**
The GRP (Graduate Researcher Program) is a unique 10-12 week internship program designed specifically for students pursuing their PhD. GRP is a hybrid experience of real-world industry work experience combined with development programming that exposes students to Boeing, its products, services and its people. GRP focuses on deeply connecting students to their team and Boeing through work experience across multiple summers with the goal of ultimately offering a full-time position at the conclusion of academic studies if a mutual fit is achieved.
**How GRP Works** :
GRP host teams post opportunities aligned with Boeing needs in hopes of matching to top PhD talent. Upon application and selection, successful applicants receive an offer to spend the following summer with the host team. The program aims to provide interns with a valuable opportunity to gain deeper experience at Boeing with their host team, while applying academic skills and expertise to help solve real-world industry challenges and opportunities.
In addition to industry work exposure, students will attend GRP programming to further broaden their experience and knowledge of Boeing. GRP programming includes: mentorship in your field of study, weekly _Featured Speaker Talks_ , a week-long in-person _GRP Summit_ , participation in an _Innovation Challenge_ , and other opportunities to interact and build a professional network with other GRP students, Boeing team members, and leadership.

**2026 GRP Position** :
This position will be hosted in Boeing Commercial Airplanes in the Flight Sciences Division. Flight Engineering is at the very heart of product-level design, integration and support. We work at every phase of the product lifecycle, from initial concept to fleet support. We define requirements, do detailed design, analyze configurations, integrate across many disciplines, certify the product and provide fleet support. We are the experts who apply skills ranging from computational fluid dynamics to flight and wind tunnel testing to weight forecasting and performance assessments to aeroservoelastics and vibroacoustics and to sales support.

**Position Responsibilities**
+ Review job assignments using bar charts, SOI, IP, and consult with leads to obtain necessary drawings.
+ Locate work areas using drawings and electronic resources that specify airplane and section numbers.
+ Verify kitted parts against installation plans and bill of materials for accuracy and suitability.
+ Determine and obtain the correct fasteners from PCA/MMO control per specifications.
+ Set up assembly tools according to tooling instructions, ensuring locators are correct for the model.
+ Align and secure parts on the airplane using tooling holes and clamps, checking for proper margins.
+ Install and rework interior parts and assemblies, including carpets, stowbins, and seats.
+ Select and use appropriate drill bits, reamers, and countersinking tools for pilot and full-size holes.
+ Drill, ream, and countersink holes in parts/assemblies per specifications and instructions.
+ Disassemble parts, deburr holes, and prepare surfaces for fastener installation.
+ Apply sealants, primers, adhesives, and corrosion-inhibiting compounds as required by specifications.
+ Install fasteners in the correct sequence using appropriate tools, adhering to specifications.
+ Mark and symbolize work for subsequent riveting and install cables and wire bundles as needed.
+ Inspect completed work for defects, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and report any job handicaps.
+ Move kits, carts, and equipment within the work cell to facilitate workflow and maintain personal and tool certifications.
**Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:**
+ Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

+ Retrieve non-kitted parts from designated areas, ensuring compliance with specifications.

+ Select and utilize appropriate hand and power tools for assembly tasks, including precision alignment equipment.
+ Move kits, carts, and equipment within the work cell as needed.
+ Load/unload jigs and operate mechanical lifts for assembly work.
+ Locate tools and parts on aircraft using specified methods and set up assembly tools per instructions.
+ Handle hazardous materials safely and dispose of them properly.
+ Inspect completed work for defects and cleanliness before submission for inspection.
+ Perform minor rework and maintain tool control in accordance with procedures.
+ Maintain personal and tool certifications and seek assistance from supervisors when necessary.
+ Set up tools and equipment for drilling and fastener installation in complex structures.
+ Operate various hand and machine tools, monitoring equipment functionality and performing routine maintenance.
+ Coordinate the movement and preparation of materials and tools for tasks.
+ Cut, file, drill, and assemble parts, ensuring proper fitting and quality standards.
+ Conduct reaming, riveting, and sealing operations, applying corrosion inhibitors as needed.
+ Utilize calibrated tools to verify work against specifications and ensure quality.
+ Manage equipment and materials within the work cell to ensure efficient workflow.
**Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:**
+ Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is a critical TechOps role at Delta.  In this role, you will maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta's fleet, ensuring customers have an exceptional travel experience.  AMTs maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and aircraft components and avionics systems according to Delta and FAA specifications; perform inspections during assembly of parts and after repair or installation of components; document maintenance procedures including component damage, origin, and condition; and practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. 
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
+ Performs all work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others. 
+ Inspects aircraft or aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, and engines for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear to ensure airworthiness.  
+ Recommends replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection. 
+ Reports issues, malfunctions, unusual wear, or damage to appropriate personnel, as required. 
+ Installs, removes, or modifies aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications. 
+ Repairs worn, defective, or damaged parts or components (e.g., damaged gaskets, lines and couplings, cables, and pulleys), using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.  
+ Inspects completed work to certify that maintenance adheres to standards and procedures, and that aircraft are ready for operation.  
+ Interprets discrepancies or logs (written or verbal) to understand history and nature of issue, to troubleshoot issue, and to identify required next steps (e.g., fix, defer, replace).  
+ Researches, reads, and interprets technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, repairs, or other work activities.  
+ Reviews maintenance records to determine if service and maintenance checks, repairs, and overhauls were performed at prescribed intervals.  
+ Maintains repair logs, documenting all preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance activities.  
+ Serves as a technical expert or mentor by providing advice and corrective recommendations to others. 
+ Uses computers, computer systems, and other technology to enter, document, access, receive, or communicate information.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Must have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant license Must have valid driver's license 
+ Must read, write, speak, and understand English  _(If transferring internally)_
+ Must be performing satisfactorily in present position
