Summary:


Our Monroe Shine offices are growing! We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Services Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various accounting and bookkeeping functions for multiple clients within the firm.


Responsibilities:


  • Cash management and bank reconciliations
  • Accounts receivable invoicing and deposit entry
  • Fixed asset additions, disposals, and preparation of fixed asset schedules
  • Accounts payable entry and check preparation
  • Journal entry preparation
  • Sales tax return preparation
  • Payroll entry and payroll tax return preparation
  • Financial statement and other report preparation


Expectations:


  • Identify and communicate significant issues with the supervisor in-charge
  • Manage multiple projects at a time
  • Travel to local client offices as needed to perform various bookkeeping assignments
  • Review work for errors, recognize when help is needed, and request assistance promptly
  • Recognize how assigned tasks affect the final work product
  • Achieve annual production budgets for billable time
  • Maintain confidentiality of the firm and firm clients
  • Maintain a professional appearance and develop effective written and oral communication skills with clients and co-workers

Responsibilities include:
  • Participating in the preparation and distribution of various monthly internal reports
  • Participating in the preparation, documentation and analysis of the Company's periodic SEC and regulatory reporting and disclosures, specifically management's discussion and analysis
  • Participating in the preparation of supporting materials for investor relations
  • Participating in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Providing support and assistance to external auditors
  • Conducting ad hoc research, analyze data, interpret results, and provide financial analysis to senior management for various ad hoc projects

**Your key responsibilities**
Our global tax controversy network is uniquely positioned to help businesses with their tax controversy issues. You will be involved in all aspects of controversy management and dispute resolution including assisting clients before the IRS Exam and Appeals Divisions, penalty relief and abatement requests, and advising on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
+ Assist in resolving Client IRS account issues, including the following:
+ Drafting Forms 2848 and 8821 for Client signature
+ Reviewing IRS notices, tax returns, and transcripts to identity issues on the account

+ We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $80,700 to $33,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is 96,800 to 151,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
+ Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
