Functions as part of the dialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with organization policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set forth by the corporation, state, and federal agencies. Responsible for the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment. Supports the organization commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and CQI Activities, including those related to patient satisfaction and actively participates in process improvement activities that enhance the likelihood that patients will achieve the organization Quality Enhancement Goals (QEP).
**PRINCIPAL** **DUTIES** **AND** **RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Patient Related**
Education:
+ Assist other health care members in providing patient specific detailed education regarding adequacy measures where appropriate - Online Clearance Monitoring (OLC), Adequacy Monitoring Program (AMP), Urea Kinetic Modeling (UKM), and regarding disease process/access.
Treatment:
+ Welcome assigned patients and inquire as to their wellbeing since their last treatment.
+ Evaluate vascular access for patency, perform vascular access cannulation, and perform administration of heparin as delegated or as allowed by state law.
+ Obtain necessary pre and post treatment vital signs and weight and perform vascular access evaluation pre- treatment
+ Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders including blood flow (QB) and dialysate flow (QD).
+ Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
+ Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
+ Obtain vital signs prior to reinfusion; perform all relevant functions necessary for the discontinuation of treatment - document.
+ Discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures and evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access - standing & sitting blood pressure
+ Obtain Hemostasis and apply appropriate dressings.
+ Evaluate the patient prior to discharge.
+ Perform and record Pre and Post dialysis evaluation, weight, and vital signs with initial identification
+ Responsible for calculating and entry of individual patients' dialysis machine programming for Ultrafiltration (UF) goal; treatment time; and UF modeling as prescribed.
+ Responsible for ensuring appropriate safety alarms are enabled, including Narrow Venous Limits, (NVL) 160.
+ Record accurate and timely information regarding vital signs and treatment parameters onto the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet with initial identification
+ Responsible for accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment including completion of Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet and, if applicable, progress notes.
+ Report any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to the registered nurse or supervisor.
+ Observe patient and conduct machine safety checks according to facility policy. Report any change or unusual findings to the registered nurse or supervisor.
+ Perform and document any intervention for unusual patient status and document patients' response to intervention.
+ Evaluate patients' vascular access during treatment including arterial and venous monitoring pressures, provide appropriate intervention as needed, document and report any unusual findings to the registered nurse or supervisor.
+ Obtain all prescribed laboratory testing and prepare specimens for collection.
+ Ensure that all blood spills are immediately cleaned with appropriate disinfectant according to facility policy.
+ Prepare, organize, and efficiently utilize supplies and equipment to prevent wastage.
+ Monitors patients performing self-care under the supervision of RN.
**Staff Related**
+ Assists in training of applicable direct patient care staff on appropriate programs under the supervision of a nurse.
**Education/Communication:**
+ Follows all organization business policies, procedures and systems incorporated into training, including compliance with ethical business practices
+ Maintain environmental integrity and aesthetics - ensure all areas are safe and clean.
+ Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment, and surrounding area between treatments according to facility policy.
+ Conduct all tasks necessary for preparation for dialysis treatment and document where appropriate and perform all required pretreatment dialysis machine alarm testing including Pressure Holding (PHT).
+ Initiate Solution Delivery System (SDS) system.
**RECORD KEEPING:**
+ Complete and document ongoing participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
+ Enters all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Review treatment sheets for completeness, ensure nursing signatures are documented, and ensure
omitted entries are completed or corrected by appropriate staff.
+ Prepare initial patient chart for admission and compile paperwork for appropriate placement in chart.
+ Prepare/print lab requisitions for prescribed or stat Lab specimens according to laboratory destination.
+ Collect, label, appropriately prepare and store lab samples according required laboratory specifications.
+ Ensure collection of lab specimens by appropriate lab courier.
**INFECTION CONTROL:**
+ Assists in collecting information for infection control audits.
+ Supports staff and patient Adherence to infection control practices.
+ Follows infection control Policies and Procedures
+ Participates in and reinforces infection control education of patients and families under the direction of the CM or designee as allowed by state law.
**TRANSITIONAL CARE UNIT:**
+ Follows all newly admitted patients through their first 4 weeks of dialysis and coordinating their transitional dialysis care
+ Reinforces all education and care related matters as it relates to the new patient as allowed by state law
+ Liaisons with appropriate FKC staff members to provide the best patient experience including making sure all disciplines are scheduled to see patient according to plan.
+ Assists in assuring patient understanding or home dialysis products, benefits of home and how home dialysis can work for them.
+ Sets and preforms a treatment on all machines used in the transitional care unit.
+ Assist in assuring patient understanding of treatment options including demonstration of the peritoneal dialysis set-up.
+ Assists with coordination of transition to patient's modality choice.
+ Assists with supply ordering and inventory for TCU

- Trauma level I and II experience preferred
Description:
This position requires a registered nurse specializing in cardiovascular operating room care.
The nurse will work four 10-hour days with required call.
BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
Candidates should have at least five years of nursing experience.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Scrubs will be provided for the duration of the contract.
The role requires participation in procedures including, but not limited to:
Anterior lumbar interbody fusion,
Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair,
Cardiac monitoring,
Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG),
Cardiothoracic robotic surgery,
Endoscopic sinus procedures,
Transesophageal echocardiogram, and
Ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation.
Candidates must be comfortable with floating to other units as needed.
Professional references are required from recent employers.
Candidates must have experience within their scope of practice.

**Job Details**
**Compensation:** Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay for this position is $16 per hour.
**Work Schedule:** The work schedule for this position is part-time, 10-20 hours per week between Monday-Friday 7am-5pm.

**SUMMARY**
Under direct supervision, the Golf Cart Attendant performs duties necessary to provide safe, courteous and efficient transport of guests to and/or from appropriate places within the facility or campus assigned. Assures the guests' needs are met, thus creating a maximum comfort level and representing the Towne Park and the client in a safe and positive manner.

Shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by Account Manager and the client contact following appropriate transport techniques and proper infection control procedures. Must be able to learn and remember pick-up and destination points. Knowledge of all property outlets, waiting rooms, amenities as well as key locations within the area. Must be able to assist guests with entering and exiting the vehicle with only an offer of a hand for assistance.

Must be able to communicate by telephone, two-way radio and in person in a courteous, friendly and professional manner with all guests, location staff and co-workers. Acknowledges and greets guests within 30 seconds while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest's last name at all times when appropriate. Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure. Appropriately uses salutation of the day and welcome to property.

Can only operate a vehicle that seats four people or less, including driver _._ Inspects exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lights, air-conditioning or heating, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc. prior to moving vehicle _._ Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage and submits to manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education:**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
**Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:**
+ Must be able to pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen and other requirements set forth by the client
+ Due to vehicle leasing contract requirements must be at least 21 years of age
+ Must maintain a valid driver's license at all times
+ Pass annual / semiannual MVR check
+ Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park as applicable
**Work Experience:**
+ One to three months related experience and/or training
**Knowledge:**
+ Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmission
+ Professional Knowledge of proper shuttle safety policies and procedures
+ Knowledge of daily vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspection and maintenance procedures
+ Understanding of client's facility and/or campus
+ Knowledge of facility's Transport policies, procedures and training
+ Knows, understands and abides by the policies and procedures of Towne Park and the Client
+ Understands and adheres to Infection Control and Safety procedures and the occupational health requirements
**Skills:**
+ Ability to read and write standard English language
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization

Job Description
Performs laboratory tests of moderate and high complexity and prepares records of test results. Maintains instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Prepares and calibrates test instruments and equipment to assure accuracy of tests.
+ Prepares and collects specimens and performs laboratory tests of moderate and high complexity as defined in laboratory procedures manual.
+ Discusses unexpected or unreasonable test results to supervisor.
+ Reports the results of each test and related test data by entering information in computer database.
+ Prepares, distributes, and files forms and reports.
+ Cleans instruments and equipment as needed following each test.
+ Performs maintenance and minor repairs to instruments and equipment.
+ Recognizes equipment malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
+ Assists newly assigned staff to learn laboratory procedures.
+ Performs other related duties as directed.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
+ Minimum two (2) years of current experience in a clinical laboratory or in related field required.
+ Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
Education
+ Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory technology, medical technology or successfully completed an official U.S. military medical laboratory procedures training course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) required.
+ Proper documentation for applicable degree is required (i.e. copies of diplomas, transcripts, or International Degree Equivalency Report). Major must be clearly stated on the document. If diploma does not indicate the major, an additional document that states major is required.
