Job Description
The Quality Assurance Inspector ensures the crate manufacturing processes and procedures are adhered to in order to meet the standards and requirements of the customer. The Quality Assurance Inspector may visually inspect or manually test products or processes before, during, or after the manufacturing process. They also record, monitor, and analyze data to pass on to the Operations, Sr. Management, and Quality teams.
Essential Functions:
- Must wear steel toe boots and other required personal protection equipment.
- Top 3-5 essential functions and percentage of time spent on each:
- Inspection of crates 50%
- Accepts or rejects completed work products by verifying the product or process meets the customer specifications and requirements through measurements and visual inspection.
- Inspect product or process with specialized tools. This may include weighing or measuring finished products, assessing moisture content of wood, visually inspecting workmanship and/or gauging product reliability.
- Uses proprietary software to track and update quality data and assists in delivery of reports to Operations, Sr. Management or Quality departments.
- Improvement Recommendations 40%
- Reviews specifications, standards and/or test plans of customer designs, and reports feedback to the Design department.
- Reviews, implements and follows up on corrective actions derived from customer complaints, customer returns, and/or non-conformances found and their root causes.
- Participates in ISO audits to ensure local and company-wide compliance to specified standards.

Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- 6 mo. to 1 year of wood products manufacturing experience desired
- 1 year of quality inspection experience desired
- High school diploma or GED equivalent helpful
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing English. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Proficient (intermediate skills) in the MS Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to learn proprietary software

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position combines hands-on testing expertise with strong organizational skills. You will work cross-functionally with development, business analysts, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure that our products meet the highest levels of functionality, performance, and security. You will be responsible for developing test plans, managing test execution efforts, coaching QA team members, introducing new tools and frameworks, and driving continuous improvement across the QA function.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, setting clear objectives and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications, covering both manual and automated testing methodologies.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $85,600 and $117,700 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. - Test Automation - This person should have 8 or more years of experience building automation for quality assurance testing. The role will use a framework called Pro R specific to SFDC, but experience with Selenium is also applicable.
- Salesforce.com - The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in Test Automation within SFDC, preferably working with Sales Cloud.
- Preferred experience with Mable is a plus.
- Test Automation - 8+ years of experience in automation for QA testing, using frameworks like Pro R or Selenium.
- Salesforce.com - 5+ years of Test Automation experience specifically in SFDC, with Sales Cloud experience being advantageous.
- Preferred experience with Mable.
10+ years of relevant client experience in similar technology, including at least 5 years of on-site client experience. Minimum education required is a Bachelor's degree in technology; a Master's degree is preferred.
Responsible for testing software applications across the QA/Test lifecycle, including SIT, UAT, and functional testing. In Group B, responsible for designing automation test suites, setting up performance testing systems, and developing end-to-end system tests.
