We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assistant to ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met consistently. This role involves performing routine quality checks on raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials, in accordance with company and regulatory standards. You will be part of a dynamic team ensuring the highest level of quality in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
+ Assist in preparing the production line for shift start-up, including bringing necessary equipment.
+ Follow all GMPs and monitor GMP practices in production rooms.
+ Ensure line and equipment cleanliness before the start of the day and after each break.
+ Conduct portion control weights and make machine adjustments as necessary.
+ Perform scale accuracy, label checks, and quality checks at the line.
+ Cooperate with all aspects of the safety program and complete all related training.
+ Report near misses and hazardous conditions to supervisors or the safety team.
+ Conduct environmental checks, including swabbing randomly selected areas every two hours.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Proficiency in English communication, both oral and written.
+ Attention to detail and strong understanding of quality control procedures.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Ability to operate an iPad.
+ Ability to stand and move around in a cold environment for 95% of the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous quality experience in a fast-paced production environment.
+ Previous food manufacturing experience.
Work Environment
The position primarily involves working on the manufacturing floor, which can be a bit louder during the week when all machines are running. The company provides ear protection if needed. The environment is very clean due to food handling, and cold, similar to a fridge temperature. Employees can dress warmly and are required to wear GMP-regulated attire, including smocks, gloves, hairnets, and booties. The role requires being on your feet all day, and employees often layer up due to the cold. Company values a strong work culture with opportunities for cross-training on the weekend shift. Employees can enjoy free sandwiches from fully stocked fridges during breaks but cannot take them home. Additionally, a store offers discounted sandwiches for purchase.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.75/hr.

Qualifications :
- Previous hospice experience with preferred Quality Assurance experience.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurse; registered and licensed in the State of Minnesota
