Opportunities available for BC/BE Gastroenterologist in Roanoke and Christiansburg, Virginia. Hospital-employed positions. Advanced procedure skills including ERCP and EUS would be a plus, but not required.

The Christiansburg practice models private practice and includes an office-based endoscopy unit; four faculty are based in Christiansburg. The Roanoke practice models academia and includes eleven faculty. The Division has core strengths in Colorectal Cancer Screening, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Hepatology and Interventional Endoscopy. This is the largest referral practice in western Virginia for Interventional and IBD and the only practice with dedicated Hepatology.

This is an exciting time to join our team as we develop a new Anesthesia Residency Program targeted to begin in Summer 2026.

Clinical responsibilities include patient care in the Anesthesia Department at Carilion Medical Center (CMC), an 835-bed tertiary academic health center. CMC is one of the largest and busiest Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers in the region with 49 anesthetizing locations and NORA rooms. CMC is the only regional perinatal health care center in Southwest Virginia and performs over 2000 vaginal and 1000 cesarean deliveries annually. The Birthplace has 12 labor rooms and 2 dedicated obstetric operating rooms located in the unit. Inpatient obstetric coverage is provided by an experienced team of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians.
