Oakwood is seeing a District School Nurse to coordinate and deliver health services across all schools within the district. The position plays a vital role in supporting student wellness, promoting a healthy school environment, and providing leadership for the district's health services. The District Nurse will work in collaboration with fellow nurses, administrators, staff, and community health professionals to meet the physical, mental and emotional health needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct nursing services to students and staff including first aid, illness assessment and chronic condition management for the junior and senior high students
* Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to students
* Administer medications and monitor for side effects according to physician's orders and school policy
* Maintainaccurate student health records in accordance with state and federal laws
