BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - US Citizenship Required
- ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- 2+ years experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects. 1+ with design of Data Center, Mission Critical, Hospital, Schools, Commercial or Residential Tower facilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Professional Engineering (PE) License. SE Engineering license.
- Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standard including IBC and ASCE.

In this role you will influence water chemistry and treatment, coordinating with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance for our global fleet of data centers. This includes on site and large campus water systems. You will work with internal and external teams to define, design, detail, and document the various water treatment features that our facilities require, using both prescriptive and performance-based design approaches. As an Owner, you will strive to ensure the water treatment features of our buildings protect our people and keep our customer’s data safe and uninterrupted over the life of the building. We expect you to contribute your expertise to the continual improvement of our water system design standards.

Primary responsibilities will be to perform and oversee project-related work, such as water supply analysis and design for buildings, including coordination with utilities and internal water teams to establish basic site infrastructure requirements. The ability to coordinate water treatment system space requirements, supporting utilities, and equipment locations, and to provide detailed construction specifications for water treatment systems. You will typically be responsible for the preparation of detailed designs for water treatment and sustainability systems. You will coordinate with all design disciplines to ensure they meet the code requirements described in our design standards. In some cases, you will oversee and review this work and in other cases you will perform the work yourself.

As the team’s subject matter expert, you will ensure that contractors have the information they need to build our data centers the way we expect them to, and that our operations teams are well equipped to operate and maintain them as needed to meet our goals. As part of this role you will work with internal and external stakeholders, including design engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, and other service providers, as well as local officials. You will be part of a global team, and you will be an integral part of our work to change the world through technology.

• ork with third party design vendors to review concept designs and designs in progress to ensure they meet established design standards, local code requirements, and any other requirements of the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
• B responsible for providing high quality water treatment advice on a wide variety of projects globally while working with global Mechanical engineering teams to achieve alignment of water treatment systems objectives.
• C ordinating with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to answer requests for information and value engineering queries.
• B responsible for code compliance, design and installation standards, water supply evaluation and assessment, testing, inspections, and submittal review. Meet with AHJs as needed to ensure approval of water treatement features.

The Data Center Design Engineering team at Amazon Web Services consists of Architects, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Fire Protection, Acoustics, and Controls Engineers working to design the next generation of Data Centers. Revolutionize Water Sustainability: Drive Innovative Infrastructure Solutions for Global Data Center Operations

AWS is looking for a results-oriented individual to join the AWS water infrastructure team.

In this role, you will execute projects related to water based cooling system infrastructure with assistance from internal teams including construction, operations, engineering, environmental, and project commissioning teams.

You will work with outside engineering consultants and general contractors, water treatment and sampling vendors and local water and wastewater utilities on feasibility and design work that ensures our infrastructure projects meet regulatory standards and a high bar for operational efficiency, reliability, and safety at the lowest possible cost.

You will deliver water sustainability projects for AWS Infrastructure in US East regions, as you execute on the delivery of multiple water infrastructure development projects, monitor operational efficiency metrics, and build in system resiliency after project hand-off to regional operations teams.

You will also be the central point of contact for all issues pertaining to water and wastewater treatment and disinfection systems and for managing healthy relationships with our utility partners.

Key job responsibilities
The Water Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for the following:
• Manage the planning and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects that support water delivery to data centers
• egotiate the terms of general contractor contracts and oversee the execution of utility system construction projects related to domestic, fire, and cooling water supply and wastewater infrastructure
• I entify optimal criteria for scaling projects to full-scale deployment across different regions in North America
• W rk with internal teams to troubleshoot problems and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CA) for utility infrastructure deployment
• W rk with local water utilities to understand and coordinate site utility requirements, site inspections and compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes
• T ack and manage construction of water systems for data center cooling and operations
• W rk with Operations to commission water infrastructure systems for launch of data center operations
• O ersee support and testing/validation of systems during installation, operation, and maintenance of water treatment equipment and associated mechanical system.
• I terface with internal engineering, operations, real estate and environmental health and safety and legal teams to develop and implement solutions in rural areas that often lack adequate available water and wastewater infrastructure.

In this role you will influence water chemistry and treatment, coordinating with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance for our global fleet of data centers. This includes on site and large campus water systems. You will work with internal and external teams to define, design, detail, and document the various water treatment features that our facilities require, using both prescriptive and performance-based design approaches. As an Owner, you will strive to ensure the water treatment features of our buildings protect our people and keep our customer’s data safe and uninterrupted over the life of the building. We expect you to contribute your expertise to the continual improvement of our water system design standards.

Primary responsibilities will be to perform and oversee project-related work, such as water supply analysis and design for buildings, including coordination with utilities and internal water teams to establish basic site infrastructure requirements. The ability to coordinate water treatment system space requirements, supporting utilities, and equipment locations, and to provide detailed construction specifications for water treatment systems. You will typically be responsible for the preparation of detailed designs for water treatment and sustainability systems. You will coordinate with all design disciplines to ensure they meet the code requirements described in our design standards. In some cases, you will oversee and review this work and in other cases you will perform the work yourself.

As the team’s subject matter expert, you will ensure that contractors have the information they need to build our data centers the way we expect them to, and that our operations teams are well equipped to operate and maintain them as needed to meet our goals. As part of this role you will work with internal and external stakeholders, including design engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, and other service providers, as well as local officials. You will be part of a global team, and you will be an integral part of our work to change the world through technology.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for collecting data to ensure completion of a project:
• Locating boundaries, pins, improvements, utilities, etc., while performing various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.

Overview:

Administers and coordinates project field survey data review and processing in collaboration with the field survey supervisor and mapping coordinator. Has the responsibility to define the project survey methods and the applicable codes and guidelines required to complete the data review and processing activities. • 0-2 years of combined surveying and mapping experience
• Must be knowledgeable in the methods and techniques of cross country pipeline surveying. Must have knowledge in the various surveying methods and electronic data collection.
