The HQ Accounting Ops Team in Comcast Business is responsible for Revenue and Customer Reporting, Bad Debt, Accounts Receivable, International Accounting and Audits, and Financial Analysis. We help drive insight into financial results while improving operations that impact our customers as well as the bottom line. We make key decisions in process changes and partner with multiple teams across the business to execute. **Role Description**
As an Accountant Co-op on the HQ Accounting Ops Team, you will be a part of a unique role and get to experience Accounting and Finance as well as Operations. You will be involved with monthly financial close and learn our close processes and gain skills in performing financial analysis of results. You will learn the importance of keeping complete and accurate financial statements and be able to identify inconsistencies or errors. You will also gain experience with data compilation and reporting as we review customer level revenue details for more insight. You will also get a great understanding of our internal processes that ensure our customers' accounts are updated properly in relation to customer payments and credits and gain insight into the Bad Debt process. We work in a fast-paced environment so you will also gain skills in organization and multi-tasking.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
We work in multiple systems to serve our customers, and we have a large volume of customers all dealing with various issues. You will have to use analytical thinking to get to the bottom of the issue, know what system to use, and apply the correct resolution. As some operational processes are highly manual you will need to review the financials in great detail to identify any errors that may have occurred. For example: if you see a large drop (or increase) in monthly recurring revenue you would pull customer level information in order to understand the change. Further questioning could either help explain the variance or point out that possible billing errors were made and need to be corrected (in the general ledger and on the customers next invoice).

**Organization** **& Team** **Overview**
The Political Affairs department is responsible for all political activities compliance for the Comcast enterprise including: campaign finance, lobbying, gifts and entertainment, conflict of interests, and pay-to-play. The department also manages fundraising for and administration of the Comcast's Political Action Committees (COMPAC), which includes political disbursement processing, PAC solicitation, and the administration of a PAC Match Program.
**Role Description**
Do you have a strong desire to actively participate in the political process? Are you a self-motivated team player who values a challenging, fast-paced work environment? As the co-op on the Political Affairs team, you will help bolster the Company's political engagement by assisting with all aspects of Comcast's Political Action Committees (COMPAC), focusing primarily on the facilitation of all corporate and PAC political disbursements and the administration of COMPAC's PAC Match program.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
In your role, you will work to maintain accurate data and record keeping of political and PAC Match contributions, communicate across other internal teams, such as Accounts Payable, to coordinate disbursements, as well as come up with new ideas to help support the annual fall PAC solicitation campaign.
Where can this student make an impact?
You will be responsible for the maintenance and preparation of thousands of political disbursements to federal, state, and local candidates and committees across the country. Similarly, you will help coordinate the processing of nearly $1.5 million to thousands of unique charities.
**Job Responsibilities**
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Disbursements for COMPAC
+ Compile documentation for COMPAC voucher packets
+ Log vouchers in a Microsoft Access database and maintainaccurate records
+ Prepare and mail contributions/letters to both internal staff and political campaigns
+ Maintain other records as needed
+ PAC Match program
+ Assist in the administration of an over $.8 million annual program
+ Prepare and mail letters/checks to charitable organizations and corresponding donors
+ Maintain accurate recordkeeping
+ Maintain charity database while updating as needed
+ Contact charities to obtain tax-exempt certifications
+ Correspond extensively with COMPAC donors regarding pledge information and PAC Match
+ Political Fundraisers
+ Provide on-site event support such as checking in guests and working with security/catering
+ COMPAC Communications
+ Assist in writing/editing internal communications that reaches over 20,000 management level employees
+ Support Political Affairs staff as needed
+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

+ Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
+ Ability to work on a team but can work self-directed as well
+ Preferred Majors: History, Mathematics, Political Science, Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance
**Minimum** **Qualifications** **and Eligibility Requirements**
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
+ Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 30, 2026, through September 18, 2026.
+ Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
+ Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting
