Our client, a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to fostering positive community development, is seeking a passionate Community Outreach Coordinator to join their team in Dallas, Texas, US . This role is crucial for building strong relationships within the community, identifying needs, and connecting residents with essential resources and programs. You will be instrumental in expanding the organization's reach and impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive outreach strategies to engage diverse community groups and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, schools, and residents.
  • Identify community needs and gaps in services through direct engagement and data collection.
  • Promote the organization's programs, services, and events through various channels, including presentations, workshops, and informational sessions.
  • Organize and coordinate community events, workshops, and informational fairs to raise awareness and facilitate participation.
  • Recruit and train volunteers to support outreach efforts and program delivery.
  • Maintain a database of community contacts, partnerships, and outreach activities.
  • Collect and report on outreach metrics, program participation, and community feedback to assess effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with program managers and social workers to ensure seamless referral processes and service delivery.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, coalitions, and networking events.
  • Assist in the development of culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate outreach materials.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Health, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in community outreach, engagement, or social services.
  • Strong understanding of community dynamics, social issues, and local resources in the Dallas area.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse populations.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in public speaking and delivering presentations to groups.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/database management tools.
  • Empathetic, patient, and culturally sensitive approach to working with individuals and communities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends, for community events.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
