Job Description:
The Director, Global Trade Legal & Compliance will be responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives across the enterprise to ensure compliance with U.S. and non-U.S. export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and regulations adminstered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This position reports to the Senior Director and Managing Counsel, Global Trade Compliance.
Essential Functions:
+ Develop and support implementation of Global Trade program automation initiatives and other enhancements to policies, procedures, tools, and compliance controls.
+ Monitor regulatory updates and provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders on business impacts and requirements.
+ Lead Global Trade activities related to strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
+ Proactively assess business compliance risks and develop program enhancements to mitigate those risks.
+ Brief senior leadership on Global Trade matters and present strategies to support business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable export control regulations.
+ Support Global Trade investigations, including the development and implementation of corrective actions.
+ Support internal audits and compliance assessments of global segments, sectors, and programs.
+ Lead special complaince projects and support cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Drive a culture compliance throughout the enterprise.
+ 5-10% travel domestically and internationally.
Qualifications:
+ Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience with the EAR, ITAR, and OFAC regulations.
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Experience working with export control regulations as they apply to the defense sector and familiarity with industry best practices.
+ Action-oriented self-starter with strong time-management skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to adapt in a dynamic organization and capability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Florida, and New York State is $130,500-$42,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is 150,000- 278,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. We're looking for a Compliance Manager to join Snap's Integrity & Compliance Team! In this role, you will help lead and evolve core elements of Snap's global Integrity & Compliance program. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of high-impact areas, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC), political law and charitable giving, antitrust, business records governance, and policy development. What You'll Do
+ ABAC & Political Law: Lead compliance efforts related to anti-bribery, anti-corruption, political contributions, lobbying, and charitable donations.
+ Antitrust & Fair Competition: Implement controls and provide guidance to mitigate antitrust risks and promote fair competition practices.
+ Business Records & Governance: Develop and oversee policies for business records retention and employee communications tools to support legal and regulatory compliance.
+ Risk Assessment & Continuous Improvement: Conduct risk assessments, synthesize insights from past matters, and lead initiatives to enhance program effectiveness based on lessons learned.
+ Policy Governance: Serve as lead for the company's "Policy on Policies" framework, ensuring clear governance and process ownership.
+ Codes of Conduct: Own and maintain Snap's Code of Conduct and Sales Code of Conduct, ensuring alignment with company values and applicable laws.
+ Litigation & Investigations Support: Partner with Legal on compliance aspects of litigation and internal investigations.

Minimum Qualifications

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position.
