As a Construction Laborer - Helper, you will be responsible for assisting the Vactor / CCTV inspection operators with setup at the job site and supporting them throughout the job, which may include driving a support vehicle with equipment. This position requires working with minimal oversite while still adhering to instructions closely.
We are currently offering a limited-time sign-on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license , and sign-on bonuses for new hires without a current CDL license are also available at a reduced amount. New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout.
The starting pay is $20.00 per hour and will increase based on experience.

What You’ll Do:

What We Need From You:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Construction or Field Laborer is highly
- Valid driver’s license required with a clean motor vehicle report
- Must have strong communication skills, be reliable, and be a team player
- Ability to lift / move up to 75 pounds and use pneumatic, battery-powered, or electric tools
- Comfortable working in and around sewer and storm drains
- Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles

Excavation, trenching, and laying pipe: Must be capable of using a shovel or rake for leveling excavated material or stone, assisting in unloading, positioning, loading, and back filling of pipe.
Concrete work: Must be capable of using a shovel or rake to place and level concrete. Must be capable of carrying and using a 30-pound concrete vibrator on the ground and on scaffolding. Must be capable of rough rubbing concrete.
Reinforcing Steel: Must be capable of assisting rod busters with unloading, positioning, installing, and loading re-bar.
Surveying and Layout: Must be capable of carrying and holding upright under all site conditions a grade rod twenty-five feet long, weighing approx. twenty pounds. Must be capable of using a four to eight-pound hammer to drive stakes.
SCHEDULE:
The work is scheduled for Monday through Friday, often ten hours a day. However, often the customer dictates the working hours, so may need to work hours prescribed by the customer. Furthermore, overtime is required in this job.
WORK CONDITIONS:
This job requires to be on your feet all day, which can include kneeling, bending, and standing. Wearing a hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs and suitable work clothing is necessary. The working conditions at job site change from clear and open to congested and tight. You will be working outside in all types of weather. You will be expected to be aligned with the Company Work Ethic Document, which is included in your new hire packet.

**Essential Functions**
·Inspect and ensure the safe use and disposition of production fixtures, chains and hooks
·Hand wire small to medium-sized parts to racks for pickling or galvanizing
·Pull and place chains and ropes around steel bundles for racking
·Move lightweight pieces of steel by hand from different locations in the plant and yard
·Perform paddling functions to enhance the quality level of the various galvanized products using air guns to blow off zinc needles
·Use air or electric powered tools to help prepare or clean up steel for pickling or galvanizing
·Assist in general plant clean up and housekeeping
·Work safely, protecting self and others from accident and injury
**Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:**
·The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
·The ability to accurately read a tape measure
·The ability to communicate problems or needs to departmental supervision

**What You'll Do as a General Laborer:**
+ **Hospitality:** Assist with event set up, breakdown, and general maintenance to ensure venues are clean and welcoming. Other hospitality opportunities can include Front of the House, Back of the House and Housekeeping.
+ **Production:** Support manufacturing processes by assembling products, operating machinery, and performing quality checks
+ **Warehouse:** Load and unload goods, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
+ **Auto Auction Driver:** Safely drive and park vehicles to ensure smooth and timely auto auctions
+ **Waste Removal:** Participate in waste collection and recycling efforts to maintain a clean and sustainable environment
+ **Flagging:** Direct and control traffic flow around construction sites, events, or other work zones to ensure the safety of workers and the public

**Job Requirements**
+ There is no minimal educational requirement, but specialized training can help general laborers advance (some specialized tasks may require on-the-job training)
+ Experience in general labor, preferably in one or more of the mentioned sectors
+ For some roles, a valid driver's license (required for auto auction drivers)
+ Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects
+ Ability to work outdoors
+ Strong work ethic, teamwork and communication skills
