**Job Description**
**AECOM Hunt** has exciting opportunities in construction in Chicago. We are currently seeking Senior Construction Project Managers in Civil, Structural and Mechanical for our ongoing project. These opportunities exist now and in the coming months (Summer/Fall 2025).
+ Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
+ Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
+ Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
+ Responsible for administering the project from the pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage through procurement, shop drawing/coordination development, construction, space turnover and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirement:**
+ BA/BS Engineering or related curriculum and 8 years of relevant construction experience as a Project Manager or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Experience as a Construction Project Manager on mega-construction projects.
+ Experience interfacing with architects, subcontractors, consultants, owner's reps, etc.
+ Professional Engineer designation.
+ Experience in ensuring projects meeting legal requirements and health and safety standards.
+ Expertise in overseeing large infrastructure projects, serving as the subject matter expert in Engineering for both new and existing structures.
+ Experience with various construction documentation, such as scope, change order, RFI, RFP, etc.
+ Proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering construction.
+ Experience in the installation and oversight of underground utilities.
+ Proficiency with construction software, such as CMIC.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a structured team environment.

This person reports into the Therapeutic Area (TA) Director, Global Site Management and is responsible for managing 3 levels of Site Management Leads within a specified Therapeutic Area. Responsibilities
+ Manages a team of ~7-10 Site Management Leads (3 levels) and is accountable for strategic direction and on-time delivery of assigned indication/program portfolio milestones for CSM in a world class manner, ensuring compliance and quality.
+ Collaborates with other GSM Associate Directors to build and maintain a consistent TA framework for Site Management Leads to succeed given the right training, tools and expectations. Develops and deploys internal communication strategies and provides input into external communication across assigned TA portfolio.
+ Works with cross-functional partners (e.g. Clinical Study Leadership (CSL) PL, CDSO PL, SSU Global and Area Directors, etc.) and CSM Area and Country leaders to incorporate CSM data driven strategic insights across assigned TA portfolio and to ensure alignment on implementation strategy and plans, in support of their assigned Site Management Leads.
+ Accountable for providing strategic oversight of the assigned studies to support SMLs in issue resolution to ensure delivery of the milestones, acting as the point of escalation for project related issues and leading stakeholder management at the TA level.
+ Conducts CSM project review of assigned programs/indications, by use of dashboards, KPIs, and other tools, identifying risk(s) across assigned TA portfolio and aligns with Clinical Study Leadership PLs, CSM Area and Country leadership on related mitigation and/or action plans.
+ Represents CSM organization in governance bodies for Enterprise Priority programs and supports project review by providing TA/program level insights and asks from CSM teams across studies across assigned TA portfolio.
+ Drives for operational excellence by ensuring that CSM lessons learned are shared, and that best practices and strategies are consistently leveraged within and across Therapeutic Areas. Leads innovative process improvements and ensures change management including development and implementation of more efficient and agile ways for CSM to provide oversight on meeting targets for site selection, site engagement, activation, enrollment, data collection, and cleaning.
+ Accountable for Site Management Leads study assignments, onboarding, and training within assigned TA. Responsible to develop and supervise assigned Site Management Leads creating an inclusive and innovative environment where staff and studies will succeed, including enhancing CSM tools, processes, and communication.
+ Responsible for contributing/developing and maintaining Site Management Lead processes and training materials; within and across TAs to ensure consistent application of Site Management Lead processes globally, as well as tailored updates to include special consideration per assigned TA.
+ Represents GSM organization in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to improve end to end processes ensuring feasibility, efficiency, and agility for CSM, CDO, and Global Therapeutics.
Maintains knowledge of ICH/GCP, regulatory requirements, AbbVie SOPs, and assigned Therapeutic Area.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, typically in a scientific or (para)medical field required. - Minimum of 10 years of clinical research experience, including 3 years project management experience and/or 1 year of direct line management preferred, demonstrating a high level of core, technical, and leadership competencies through setting and driving strategy and leading a global team in the management and completion of multiple, complex clinical studies.
+ Advanced working knowledge of ICH and GCP guidelines is required. Seamless collaborator and strong communicator with demonstrated ability to influence without authority - easily builds relationships across geographic locations and gains cross functional alignment. Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and to think strategically, to drive operational execution, using data to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities include: Fleet integration and execution of all Major Capital Investment Projects (MCIP) & Strategic Projects, works with senior management team to develop and implement plans that support site and corporate business goals and objectives. Directly supervise assigned project managers.
**Primary Duties and Accountabilities**
+ Primary responsibility is to oversee the execution of large projects. This includes accountability to safety, schedule, quality, cost and dose minimization. The manager will own the 10-year plan and assigned portions of Corporate Strategic Plan and be responsible for its execution in all facets of the Project Lifecycle.
+ Accountable for gaining Executive Approval for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Capital Investments. This authorization includes Project Review Committee (PRC), Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee (NSAC), and Governance Oversight Committee (GOC) approvals as necessary.
+ Responsible for certifying accurate estimates during all phases of the project lifecycle, this includes robust change control management throughout project design and execution.
+ Accountable for the retention and development of project managers supporting line management. Evaluate assigned staff and recommend related training and/or Human Resources actions. Solicit feedback on performance of personnel.
+ Meet with regulatory groups to gain approval and respond to inquiries. This includes agencies such as Department of Energy (DOE), Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
+ Responsible for supporting peer team improvement initiatives

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree with 10 years of related experience OR

Qualifications

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Work Environment: Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa is located in a harsh environmental setting with adverse weather conditions for many months of the year (excessive heat, humidity, and rain) and working in areas populated by poisonous snakes, plants, and/or insects, and contagious diseases and poor air quality, chemical handling areas, and damp and unheated spaces. The work may require extensive work shifts of 12-16 hours a day and more than a 5 day workweek. Generally, indoor work location has power, water, heating and air conditioning, although outages should be expected. The incumbent will be required to live on the camp, where living quarters are a container living unit (CLU), which may be very cramped with the requirement to share bathroom facilities. Initial living quarters may be a tent. Fatigue may occur from long work hours and uncomfortable living conditions.

The position may be required to provide immediate contingency support requiring a physical and immunizations deemed necessary for the environment in which this support is provided.

Incumbent is entitled to 25% Post Differential pay.

As a Construction Management Intern with NVR, your 12-week paid internship will allow you to gain experience in a variety of business segments. It will provide the foundation you need to succeed in the homebuilding industry. In fact, many of our summer interns go on to join NVR full time after graduation.

Primary Responsibilities:Project Management: Immerse yourself in the hands-on managerial and vocational aspects of the homebuilding industry by learning from our experienced construction and customer relations teams.

  • Spend time shadowing and assisting an experienced Project Manager in the field

  • Work directly with on-site subcontractors

  • Interact with customers building their new home

In addition, you will have the opportunity to spend time in other areas of our business:

  • Sales & Marketing: Work alongside the sales team and with our customers to understand the new home sales life cycle.

  • Land Research: Learn how industry leaders forecast and prepare for the future homebuilding activity in a growing metropolitan area.

  • Building Products: Get a glimpse into manufacturing operations with a tour of NVR’s production plant and architectural design offices.

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.

Proven ability to manage on-site construction activities from pre-construction through closeout.

Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety protocols, and subcontractor coordination.

Excellent communication and leadership skills to work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and field teams.

Proficiency with project management tools and construction software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).

Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings.
