Key Responsibilities

• Review bid specifications, plans, and drawings to prepare accurate scopes and bid packages.
• Assist in project setup, document uploads, and data maintenance in Building Connected
• Assist in compiling bid proposals and precon proposals
• Conduct calls to subcontractors, tracking bid responses
• Handle phone inquiries
• Coordinate subcontractor outreach and solicitations, including local and minority bidders
• Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering exercises
• Prepare conceptual, schematic, and design development budgets
• Follow up on submitted bids to help win work and maintain strong industry relationships
• Maintain the Bid Activity Log
• Oversee the Subcontractor Log
• Ensure timely and complete project handoffs to Project Management.
• Award subcontracts ensuring full scope and alignment with project schedule.
• Foster relationships with subcontractors while enforcing SEMCO's standards.
• Maintain project documentation and input data into estimating software.
• Represent SEMCO in client meetings, attend after-hours work events for business development efforts (as needed)
  
  

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Preferred 1+ years of commercial construction experience (Preconstruction or Estimating).
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and estimating practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and construction estimating software.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Highly organized and self-motivated with strong follow-through skills.

Job Duties:

As a Construction Manager with SERVPRO of NE Hillsborough/ Plant City, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to all customers and clients! In this role, you will manage a wide range of functions on all construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of all construction projects and ensure customer and client satisfaction
• Manage the construction team and assign leases to superintendents
• Ensure project schedules are in place and monitor completion schedules and budgetary requirements
• Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work.
• Ensure proper documentation of each project including photos, contracts, change orders, etc.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job debrief with other superintendents

Position Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous construction management experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to meet established production goals and maintain profitability
• Effective written and oral communication

• Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat
• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of times (i.e., driving, sitting, climbing)

Your Responsibilities on the Team

• Schedule and supervise daily activities of trade partners according to job schedules and scope of work.

• Ensure compliance with local building codes and company quality standards.

• Manage construction timelines, budgets, and documentation; maintain job site safety and cleanliness.

• Oversee pre-construction and construction inspection processes, including customer interactions and SWPPP compliance program.

• Provide feedback and performance evaluations for construction staff and trade partners.

• Facilitate effective communication within the construction team and with external partners.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in residential construction management, with supervisory experience required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of building codes, and ability to read blueprints.

• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record; proficient communication and time management skills.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Able to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally operate construction equipment. Able to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time to complete paperwork, meet with building partners, and receive/return phone messages. Must be able to work in construction environment under all weather conditions. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

+ Install supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation
+ Assemble fittings and valves for installation
+ Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building
+ Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes
+ Perform any other duties as requested
**Qualifications:**
+ 3 + Years of Commercial Plumbing Experience
+ Ability to work well with others, take instruction and work with minimal supervision
+ Ability to properly manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
+ Verbal and written communication skills to audiences both inside and outside the company.
+ Must have strong knowledge of blueprint reading.
+ Good working knowledge of multiple jurisdictions and Florida building codes
