Key Responsibilities
- Review bid specifications, plans, and drawings to prepare accurate scopes and bid packages.
- Assist in project setup, document uploads, and data maintenance in Building Connected
- Assist in compiling bid proposals and precon proposals
- Conduct calls to subcontractors, tracking bid responses
- Handle phone inquiries
- Coordinate subcontractor outreach and solicitations, including local and minority bidders
- Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering exercises
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, and design development budgets
- Follow up on submitted bids to help win work and maintain strong industry relationships
- Maintain the Bid Activity Log
- Oversee the Subcontractor Log
- Ensure timely and complete project handoffs to Project Management.
- Award subcontracts ensuring full scope and alignment with project schedule.
- Foster relationships with subcontractors while enforcing SEMCO's standards.
- Maintain project documentation and input data into estimating software.
- Represent SEMCO in client meetings, attend after-hours work events for business development efforts (as needed)
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Preferred 1+ years of commercial construction experience (Preconstruction or Estimating).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and estimating practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and construction estimating software.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Success in this role will require partnership with construction hiring managers and senior management across the country, as well as the TA and HR team at JF Petroleum Group. The Talent Acquisition Specialist's primary role is to fill open positions for JF Petroleum Group, but will also support the interview, hiring, and onboarding process with each candidate, and the HR department's ongoing initiatives and projects. We are seeking someone who is experienced in candidate sourcing, can communicate effectively and professionally, and possesses the ability to prioritize and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency. Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain partnerships with hiring managers in JF Petroleum Group
- Post jobs to HRIS system and review them daily for qualified candidates.
- Build a well-rounded pipeline of qualified candidates, according to relevant job criteria through various sources, such as social media, job boards, networking, attending job fairs (when applicable), online job posting boards, and referrals?
- Identify, screen, and interview applicants to fill existing job openings and partner with the hiring manager to review.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges/universities and local organizations to participate in job fairs and networking events
- Support hiring managers by writing/updating job descriptions, conducting scoping calls, and touch base calls throughout the recruitment process until the job is filled.
- Communicate with potential applicants by phone and email, and schedule interviews with hiring managers throughout the interview and hiring process (phone screening calls, video interviews and in-person meetings)
- Coordinate and schedule travel arrangements for candidates, when applicable.
- Support and execute affirmative action plans
- Use knowledge of market and industry trends, labor market data and competitors to develop sourcing plans and strategies
- Be an internal and external ambassador for JF Petroleum Group through positive communication with employees, candidates, and the public, which includes promoting a positive image and reputation as an employer of choice. (i.e.: LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and social media)
- Strong analytic, presentation, organizational, and time management skills are necessary for this role.
